Like mostsurvival crafting RPGs,Once Humanfeatures a detailed base-building system that allows players to create their own unique and functional spaces. You start with a small space and canexpand it as you progress. The Build menu has lots of options for different structures, facilities, and decorations to create a comfortable home base.
While there is no option to build Automatic Doors from scratch, you’re able to actually craft door-like structures that open and close automatically. This guide covers everything you need to know about crafting automatic doors inOnce Humanand take your base to another level.
How To Craft Automatic Doors
As mentioned above,Once Humandoesn’t feature pre-built automatic doors. Instead, you will need to combine different structures and create a whole electrical circuit. First, you must unlock theSolar GeneratorandElectrical Kitfrom the Logistics tabs inthe Memetics menu.
Next, you’ll need the following items to make an Automatic Door. Each one has a specific purpose:
Dynamic Sensor or Camera
To detect movement or players near the door.
Pressure Plates
Transforms physical pressure into an electrical signal which can serve as additional triggers to open the door.
To control the door’s operation based on sensor input.
Power Source
Preferably a Solar orHydraulic Generatorto power up the Dynamic Sensor and Pressure Plates.
Wall Terminals
To connect the components together.

How To Use The Automatic Door
If you’ve set the circuit up correctly and have a consistent power supply,your Automatic Door should operate without direct interaction. Whenever you or another player walks on the pressure plate, it will trigger a signal to open or close the door.
Thanks to the Camera sensors,the door will only open foryou and your teammates, keeping out both Deviants and hostile players. Not only does an Automatic Door make it faster for you to move in and out of your base, but it also adds an extra layer of security.
