He is a force to be reckoned with, and he has achieved legendary status in theOne PieceWorld, cornering the likes of the Pirate King and fighting with the strongest legends on the seas.
What’s even more surprising is that Garp has accomplished all this without even relying on a Devil Fruit. However, just for fun, if he were to have a Devil Fruit, not just any fruit would fit him. There are only a handful of Devil Fruits that Garp would make the perfect use of, and we have compiled the best of the lot for him.
Riki Riki no Mi
The Riki Riki no Mi is an incredible Paramecia type of Devil Fruit that fans sawin the Final Sagafor the very first time. This devil fruit is currently in possession of Jesus Burgess, who fans know to be an incredibly powerful fighter. This devil fruit allows Burgess to increase his physical strength tremendously.
He was seen lifting a mountain casually over his head during the battle on Winner Island, and for Garp, this would be a perfect devil fruit. It would allow him to boost his physical strength even more, and where he could destroy mountains with a punch, he could potentially destroy islands and more. Garp could be absolutely unstoppable with an ability such as this one, and it would certainly be very fitting for a character such as him, given that even his epithet focuses on his punches.
Ton Ton no Mi
The Ton Ton Fruit is a unique devil fruit that fans have seen quite a bit in the Dressrosa arc ofOne Piece. This Devil Fruit belongs to Machvise,but Garp would make great use of it too.While it really doesn’t strike one as an overpowered Devil Fruit, it doesn’t have to be. Fans know that Garp can make even a mediocre ability stand out and the ton ton fruit fits that category.
Essentially, it allows the user to increase their weight tremendously. Of course, the weight certainly has limits, but fans do not know them just yet. What they do know is the lowest weight that this fruit offers is 10,000 kgs, and the highest increment is 10 million kgs. A punch from Garp with 10 million kgs behind it on top of the strength that he already has, from above, would be crushing and could easily level entire islands in the blink of an eye. This fruit would put Garp on a completely different level.
Zushi Zushi no Mi
The Zushi Zushi no Mi is another incredible Devil Fruitthat would be perfect for Garp. This is a Paramecia type of Devil Fruit and certainly among the overpowered ones. This devil fruit allows Fujitora, its current user, to control gravity at will. Essentially, he can surround himself with gravity powers, which is very special.
Under Garp, this devil fruit would be just as dangerous, if not even more. Essentially, the idea would be for Garp to coat his fists in gravity manipulation powers. He could add tremendous weight to his punches, making them more dangerous than ever before, and even create things like black holes with gravity manipulation. This would put Garp on an untouchable pedestal and potentially make him the strongest in the entire series.
Inu Inu no Mi, Mythical Model
When it comes to the Zoan types, there is only one that fits Garp perfectlyand it is the Inu Inu no Mi. Of course, Garp wouldn’t have something as simple as a regular Inu Inu no Mi. In his case, this fruit would be the mythical model, and Oda could potentially choose a special fruit for him. As to what this mythical model could be, one can just pick any for him and it would work.
This is because Garp’s animal theme appears to be that of a dog. His ship’s head has a dog in the front, and he even wore a dog mask over his face long ago. If Garp had a Zoan devil fruit, this would be the perfect one. As to what kind of powers he would get from this fruit, that depends on what kind of fruit he would have eaten. Thematically, however, it would be perfect for him.
Gura Gura no Mi
Finally, the Gura Gura no Mi, another one of the paramecia types, would also be absolutely sensational for Garp. This is one of the most dangerous abilities, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say it is one of the most overpowered Devil Fruits in One Piece. This fruit allows the user to create quakes from land, air, or sea.
The power is so magnificent that it has been said to be enough to destroy the entire world.It was once in possession of Whitebeard, and currently, Blackbeard is the one who wields it. Under Garp, it would be even more dangerous.
