The post contains spoilers for One Piece Episode 1116.
One PieceEpisode 1116 was full of both good and bad surprises. For starters, fans saw Buggy declare his desire to claim the One Piece. The announcement left everyone stunned, as Buggy is a known coward, so he would never do something that would make him risk his safety.
The main reason why Buggy blurted out his dream was because of Shanks. The two sailed with the Roger Pirates, and they were rather close. Buggy believed that Shanks would become the Pirate King, but the latter refused to do so. After Buggy learned about Shanks' desire to claim the One Piece, he wanted to do the same. He could not let Shanks take the lead and reach Laugh Tale. Buggy’s speech moved all of his subordinates, but Mihawk and Crocodile were miffed. Away from the happenings on Buggy’s turf, the Navy was discussing an important matter.
The Death Of A True One Piece Legend
T-Bone’s Death Will Affect The Whole World
InOne PieceEpisode 1116, fans saw Sengoku talking to Tsuru about a tragic event that took place in the Pepe Kingdom. It was revealed that Vice Admiral T-Bone had been murdered by an unknown assailant. Both of them were surprised that such a thing happened to one of the nicest Marines. However, it was quite clear that the person was motivated by their need to provide for their family. According to Tsuru, over 1,000 people die in the Pepe Kingdom annually due to poverty. Naturally, a person saw killing T-Bone as an opportunity to rid their family of any possible problems associated with money. However, it is still uncannythat T-Bone, a Vice Admiral, was killed by a regular civilian. It would take even a talented fighter a couple of hits to finish him. So, how was this possible?
Poverty and money change people. —Tsuru
The most rational explanation is that T-Bone didn’t want to retaliate. As previously stated, he was a compassionate man who always helped others, even if it came at the cost of his own physical health. So, he possibly allowed it to happen after the initial strike because he knew that the man was suffering. Even in death, T-Bone decided to help someone other than himself. T-Bone’s death is going to have serious repercussions, and if news begins to spread around the world, the Navy will be in deep peril. More and more people will gain more confidence and will attempt to attack Navy soldiers in hopes of claiming the bounties on their heads.
What Should The Navy Do To Tackle The Problem?
The Navy May Want To Take Action
It is rather apparent that the Cross Guild poses the greatest threat to the authority of the Marines, so they can’t just stay still and let the pirates do their thing. Tsuru and Sengoku have already acknowledgedthe Cross Guild’s threat. They must make Sakazuki take them seriously as well. After all, he is the Fleet Admiral. Sakazuki needs to hold a meeting and talk to other influential Navy officers to figure out a solution.
Based on the information available, there is only one Admiral freeto take on a mission of such importance, and that person is Ryokugyu. After failing in Marijoa and Wano, he will be more determined than ever to impress Akainu and get into his good books.
Seeing him in action will be great for his character, as he is the Admiral with the lowest screen time. Furthermore, his first full appearance was rather disappointing, as he was chased away by Shanks. If he gets involved in the upcoming arcs, fans will get to know more about his powers and maybe learn about his past.
Will The Navy Be Successful If It Tried?
The Navy Lacks The Power To Deal With This Problem
Judging from the current situation around the world, the Navy doesn’t seem to have enough manpower to deal with the Cross Guild. The organizationeven lost Garp at Hachinosu. The Vice Admiral was frozen by Kuzan and captured by the Blackbeard Pirates. Needless to say, Blackbeard will be happy with his crew’s work, as he needed a solid bargaining chip to strike a deal with the World Government. He will use Garp to turn Hachinosu into a World Government-affiliated nation. Normally, the Navy would try to send someone to save Garp, but once again, they don’t have enough people.
For now, the Navy might overlook the Cross Guild and focus on the other big incidents happening around the world. The organization will have its eyes set on Egghead Island as one of the Five Elders is on their way. The Navy wouldn’t want anything to happen to Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn, who is one of the most influential figureswithin the World Government.
