How The First Season Of One Piece Live Action Fared

Luffy Finished Journeying Along The East Blue

The first season of theOne Piece Live Actionwas a resounding success. This series covered the journey of Monkey D. Luffy across the East Blue in the first season, and it was certainly different from what the manga and the anime showcased, but, the twist was exciting enough for the fans to consider this a unique adaptation that tells the same core story. Luffy went from being a young little boy to a famous pirate across the East Blue, all within a short span of time. He also did so while getting some of the most trustworthy crewmates, those beingZoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. He also took down some of the most famous and powerful villains across this portion of the sea, in the form of Buggy, Alvida, and even the infamous Arlong, who had previously been to the Grand Line as well. In the last episode of One Piece Live Action season 1, fans saw Luffy and the crew headed towards the Grand Line, and that is where the next part of the journey is going to be focused.

Oda Drops A Major Message For The Fans

In the month of August, fans knew thatOne Piece Live Actionwould announce casting reveals for characters that are going to be featured in the upcoming Season 2. At the same time, fans also got a message from the author, Oda himself. This was rather unexpected, but it certainly did reveal quite a bit of exciting things to the fans in regards to what to expect next. Here’swhat Oda had to sayabout Netflix’s One Piece Live Action Season 2:

Yes, the live-action One Piece is currently in production, with filming well underway. The story will cover Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island! Think about it. Imagine how much it’ll cost! Lol. But whether it’s the script or the cast, I continue to insist on this or that, which makes Matt the Showrunner go“Aaarrgh!”and Netflix go“Noooo!”and Tomorrow Studios go“Whaaaat”as they all pull their hairs out. All that, even though we grew so close making season 1.

Vivi saying her tearful goodbye to the Straw Hats Pirates in One Piece

But it’s because we all share the same passion for this show! Just as with last season, they’ve gone out of their way to promise that they won’t put the show out until I’m satisfied. This isn’t in the contract, you know. It’s a verbal pledge. I hope you can appreciate how amazing and determined they are for keeping their word. And they’ve certainly proven their ability to bring this world to the screen. I just can’t wait to see it!

Meanwhile, the previously announced cast is compiled on the official X account, so go check it out. The Grand Line is an even more expansive “World”. You may wonder, what was the inspiration behind that kingdom? How would it connect to the real world? Naturally, the distinctive cast members have been assembled from around the world, and I can’t help but get excited thinking about how the adventure has already begun!

Netflix’s One Piece

Among those yet to be announced, what about Vivi? And Miss All Sunday? What are they doing with Chopper? We can’t announce everyone all at once, but starting tomorrow, we’ll be announcing more cast members over three days: August 21, 22, and 23.

Look out for those, and stay tuned for more exciting updates to come!

Why There Will Be No Alabasta In OPLA Season 2

Clearly, there will be no Arabasta inOPLASeason 2. Fans were fully expecting the Arabasta arc to be central to this season. While the Arabasta Saga itself will already be underway in Season 2, the arc itself will be tackled in Season 3. This is because there is a lot of buildup for the arc that needs to be handled first, and it appears that season 2 is going to focus on that specific aspect of the story. For instance, the arcs that are going to be covered inOne Piece Live Action season 2 include Reverse Mountain, fromwhere the Strawhat Pirates will head toWhiskey Peak, following which an adventure to Little Garden is going to be underway, and finally, things will wrap up with Drum Island in Season 2. This means that Season 3 is going to focus entirely on Arabasta, which is great news for the fans.

Of course, this means that there’s going to be a longer wait for Arabasta. At the same time, it also means that Arabasta is going to get an entire season, and the build-up to this arc is not going to be rushed in any way. This is great news for the fans, and it just goes to showthat One Piece Live Actionis being handled with the utmost care, which is what the fans have always wanted.

One Piece Live Action Season 2 will be released In 2025.
