Summary
Blizzard has officially released the Season 11 update for hero shooterOverwatch 2, which includes a Roadhog nerf and various other hero changes.Overwatch 2Season 11 does not feature a new hero like Season 10 did, and so it’s definitely a more low-key season. However, there’s still plenty for fans to check out, including a brand-new Battle Pass, the debut of the new Runasapi map, and changes to Colosseo.
As far as theColosseo changesgo,Overwatch 2Season 11 has removed the glass from throughout the Push map, which should give players a lot more flexibility when it comes to battles. All otherOverwatch 2maps remain the same as of the Season 11 update, but the same can’t be said for the games heroes, as Blizzard has made some significant changes to Damage, Support, and Tank heroes.
The heroes with arguably the most significant changes are Roadhog and Cassidy. As of theOverwatch 2Season 11 update, Roadhog has been nerfed, with his base health reduced to 600 and the damage reduction from his Take a Breather ability reduced from 50% to 40%. Needless to say, this should have a major impact on Roadhog’s current survivability, but it will hopefully make him a more balanced character. Cassidy, meanwhile, has had hisMagnetic Grenade swapped out with his returning Flashbang, though it will function differently than it did before.
Kiriko
Cassidy’s Flashbang nowhinders enemiesinstead of stunning them. Additionally, hinder will now reduce movement speed by 50% and will prevent crouching movement. Many Cassidy fans have been calling for the return of his Flashbang grenade ever since the ability was removed, but it will be interesting to see how fans react to the changes made to it.
Overwatch 2fans can jump in to Season 11 right now and see if the new update is to their liking. Of course, there’s plenty more to look forward to in the meantime.Overwatch 2has a new Support herowaiting in the wings, and the Clash game mode is still expected to come at some point later this year as well. More information on that front could potentially come at Gamescom, as Blizzard has confirmed that it will be at the show.
