Within the islands ofPalworld,many different creatures exist. Each one has unique looks and abilities that would make them perfect candidates for either combat partners or camp laborers. While figuring out where to find andhow to catch such Palsis something that players must learn to do, the developers, on the other hand, must realize what monsters should be created that would thematically fit the game. Though they have done a good job so far in coming up with and adding new and interesting creatures, especially ones brought in by the recent major update, they have yet to put in a type that many different players believe would be perfect forPalworld.
In July 2024, a member known as caosnekomata of thePalworlddiscord brought up the desire to add a rat-based Pal to the game, as currently there are none that exist. Bucky, the community manager over at Pocketpair, saw how several others supported the idea and gave them the opportunity to get what they were asking for. So long as these fans show that there are 1000 others who support the idea, then there is a chance that artists could start the development of the first rat-based Pal. Although not the most amazing of additions, it does raise the question as to why the game doesn’t have such a monster, even though one would think it’s something that a game such asPalworldshould have from day one.
A Rat Pal in Palworld Could Be On its Way
Palworldfans have rallied to get a rat Pal added to the game, successfully gathering the required 1000 supporters that will give them the opportunity to see it happen. Although many have shown the desire for its inclusion, some may wonder why the game should even have it. In response to that, there are a few reasons why a rat Pal would make a sensible addition to the islands ofPalworld.
Due to the efforts of the community, it is likely that the first rat Pal will be coming to the game in the near future. Although Pocketpair’s community manager has not made any promises, the strong support of the monster’s inclusion has been relayed to the rest of the team to consider the start of development. Whether it ends up becoming either one of the best orworst Pals inPalworld,or if it will even end up making it to the game at all, only time will tell.
How the Addition of a Rat Pal Could Potentially Affect Palworld
Seeing how sensible it would be for something like a rat to inhabit the many different areas ofPalworld, the developers could see that rationality and use it to take things further. It could lead to anadorable way of improving Palsas the ones based on animals could be changed to interact more with their environment. For example, several of the potential new rat Pal could be found scurrying within the Oil Rig Stronghold, constantly leaping and running behind objects as one would expect their real-life counterpart to do. This could lead to several interesting animations that could give each monster some character, making them more memorable and making the world feel more alive.
The amount of support gathered for adding a rat Pal shows just how muchPalworldfans want to see the game continue to grow. Although there’s no guarantee that it will ever be added, as the community manager stated that it’s only a maybe and would require months of development if given the green light, the effects of everyone’s efforts were still made clear. The game could benefit from the monster’s inclusion, and perhaps this could lead to the development team listening to their fans more often to see what can be done for further improvement. If done right, the new Pal and other changes it could bring may result in anothermassive player spike forPalworld.
