Summary
APokemonfan has recently redesigned Rotom as a coffee maker. ThePokemoncommunity loves to draw fan art reimagining their favorite creatures, and Rotom is the perfect pick, as it has multiple official forms, serving as a good framework for coming up with amazing ideas.
Rotom was introduced inthe fourth generation ofPokemongames. While Rotom does not evolve into any other known Pokemon, it can change its form, learning new moves and even changing its subtype when it possesses an appliance. Some of the official alternative forms for Rotom include the microwave-based Heat Rotom, the refrigerator-inspired Frost Rotom, and the Mow Rotom, a creature modeled after a lawn mower.
Now, a Pokemon fan called Unspoken_Horrors has reimagined Rotom as Rotom Coffee, an Electric/Poison-type variant of the popular appliance critter. In this new design, the Pokemon is depicted as a coffee maker with a hat, eyes, and a big mouth spitting a purple liquid. Like the official versions of Rotom, the creature has some sort of aura around it, which looks like two small purple ghosts in this case. According to Unspoken_Horrors, they originally designed this drawing as part of their work for a game design school and asked for feedback from otherPokemonfans before sending it back. The piece’s reception was quite positive, with the post gaining over 1,000 upvotes and several people in the comments complimenting how good the fan art looked.
Pokemon Fan Designs Rotom As a Coffee Maker
This was not the first time that aPokemonfan designed an alternative form for Rotom. Last year, a fan designed another Electric/Poison-type variant for the creature. In this case, it was a Trash Rotom, a trash bin possessed by a ghost that started to collect garbage to keep the city clean.
On another occasion, aPokemonfan designed multiple alternative forms for Rotom. The new designs included Rotom Style, Rotom Goo, and Rotom Alarm, which were based on a hairdryer, a lava lamp, and an alarm clock, respectively.
Earlier this year, yet anotherPokemonfan had a novel idea. The fan has craftedreal-life appliances based on Rotom, purchasing the items and then using Tinkercad to create 3D models for them, assembling all the parts to come up with these incredible Rotom-inspired appliances. Hopefully, the Pokemon community will continue to create amazing new designs and objects inspired by Rotom, as the creature may not be as popular as Eevee or Pikachu, but it has a pretty unique design.
