Summary

APokemonfan created an incredible Nike Dunk shoe design featuring the Electric Eeveelution called Jolteon and shared their handiwork with other trainers. ThePokemonshoe creator received compliments from their peers on social media for their ongoing effort, and for the colors they chose for the Jolteon sneakers.

Known as the Lightning Pokemon, Jolteon first appeared inPokemon Red and Blue. Alongside Vaporeon and Flareon, Jolteon is one of the first evolutions of Eevee, collectively known as Eeveelutions. As an Electric-type critter,Jolteon is known for its iconic design, high speed, and potent special attack power. While Jolteon’s speed makes it the fastest Eeveelution of the bunch, it is also a glass cannon with a glaring weakness against physical Ground-type attacks like Earthquake. Although Jolteon’s special attack move set is limited in its variety, it can learn Shadow Ball, Alluring Voice, and Thunderbolt for coverage.

AlthoughJolteon fan art has been donein different ways, onePokemontrainer chose the Electric Eeveelution as the basis for their latest work. A Reddit user named LakotaRobinson shared their design of a pair of Jolteon Nike Dunk shoes on the r/pokemon subreddit. The shoe artist said in their post they used a watercolor style for the shoes, based on the work of longtime Pokemon creature artist Ken Sugimori. Taking a pair of white and navy blue Nike Dunks, LakotaRobinson painted, dyed, and aged the shoes with yellow, cream, and sea green colors. The artist posted some screenshots of the finished product and included some references they used, which ranged from a page of thePokemon Adventuresmanga and a Jolteon card from thePokemon TCG’s Skyridge expansion.

Known for their work onNike Dunk shoes featuring Sylveon, LakotaRobinsion chose Hansa yellow paint to represent Jolteon’s body. Cream and pale sea green served as accent colors for the Nike Dunk shoes. The Nike Dunks had some Foxtrot Uniform shoelaces in an oatmeal color. The Lightning Pokemon was then placed on the left ankle side of each shoe, with Sugimori’s original work of Jolteon serving as the basis. On the right ankle side, the number 135 was shown off as a reference to Jolteon’s Pokedex number fromPokemon Red and Blue.

In response,Pokemonfans praised LakotaRobinson for their work and some threw in requests for their favorites to be made into Nike Dunk shoe designs. Given thatPokemonfan art of the Eeveelutions can take unique forms, only time will tell what trainers will create next.
