Summary

APokemonfan has created an incredible Gimmighoul Chest Form bank that takes the user’s coin offering. The Gimmighoul coin bank is mechanically animated, and the creator behind thePokemonproject has demonstrated how it was achieved.

Gimmighoul is an interesting Pokemon, having more than one form that it can appear in on the game’s map.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers will quickly notice a strange sound in certain areas, which is actually the call of ahidden Gimmighoul. If the Gimmighoul is found, it counts towards the player’s ability to eventually evolve one, so finding every single Gimmighoul the player hears is an important task.

CreativePokemonfan BigRig_Pikachu, aka BigRig Creates, shared their Gimmighoul bank with others, and the fanbase is incredibly impressed. A brief video demonstrates the Gimmighoul bank, with the lid opening to reveal a pile of goldenGimmighoul coins. If the user sets down a coin, the Gimmighoul pops out from under the pile, swipes the coin, and disappears back into the box again. BigRig has even added a sound chip to give Gimmighoul its iconic cry when it emerges for the coin. The incredibly creative design has fans of the Pokemon wishing this was official merchandise that they could get for themselves.

How Was the Gimmighoul Coin Bank Made?

BigRig shared another video that demonstrates how the bank was created. To start, BigRig deconstructed aPikachu mechanical coin bankthat worked the same way. After removing the Pikachu’s head and arm from the bank, BigRig went to work designing and printing a Gimmighoul head and arm to replace Pikachu’s, and a large chest to hold the entirety of the bank. BigRig spray painted the original bank gold and decorated the top to make it look like the inside of a treasure chest filled with Gimmighoul Coins. On the inside of the chest, BigRig Creates placed a light-reactive sound chip with Gimmighoul’s voice, completing the project.

As BigRig Creates had hoped, the bank works flawlessly. By setting a coin down on the pressure pad in the treasure chest, Gimmighoul peeks out, reaches an arm out, and yanks the coin back down into the compartment inside. This kind of bank has been quite popular over the years, but official sources have never made a Gimmighoul bank like this one. While legal concerns prevent BigRig Creates from selling these, those who have some experience tinkering with electronics and 3D modeling and printing can try and follow the tutorial to make their owntribute to Gimmighoul.
