Summary
A talentedPokemonfan has recently designed a new past Paradox form for Arbok. Introduced inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, Paradox forms are powerful alternative versions of creatures that come from either the past or the future. After thesePokemongames were released, these forms became popular inPokemonfan art, and this latest artwork is proof of how interesting they can be.
Arbok isa Poison-type Pokemonintroduced inPokemon Red and Blue. The snake-inspired creature evolves from Ekans at Level 22. The monster can only be obtained by trainers via trading inPokemon Blue, as Ekans can be fought in the wild solely inPokemon Red. In the TV series, the Team Rocket villain Jessie has an Arbok after evolving her Ekans during the 31st episode of the first season.
Now, aPokemonfan called leolethanh has created a new past Paradox form for Arbok called Earth-fangs. This Poison/Ground-type Pokemon still retains most of Arbok’s original body, but it has a few changes such as spikes on its back, different marks on its skin, and a dinosaur-inspired tail. Earth-fangs’ tail is the highlight of the new design, as it has two ends, and seems covered in rocks.
Pokemon Fan Art Imagines Arbok’s Past Paradox Form
Earlier this week, another fan decided to imagine aMega Evolution for Arbok. In this artwork, the gamer gave the Gen 1 snake a spooky overhaul, depicting it as a serpent with two huge mouths, one on its head, and the other in the middle of its chest. While the creature still somewhat resembles Arbok, especially due to the colors of its skin, the overall design is greatly changed, making the beast look like some kind of nightmare-inducing monster.
Earlier this year, yet anotherfan decided to give Arbok a new evolutionin fan art. In this alternative evolution called Agan, which was a Poison/Dragon-type monster, Arbok was redesigned as a huge serpent with massive yellow spikes on its back, as well as what seems to be some sort of crown. The creature also gained a shiny version, which had black skin instead of purple.
Leolethanh’s Arbok was just the latest of many Pokemon to gain a new unofficial Paradox form. Last month, for example, another fan created apast Paradox form for Rapidashcalled Waxen Pinions. In this new Ground/Flying-type form, the unicorn Pokemon was turned into a grey hippogryph, gaining wings and several abilities based on the wax that it has on its body.
