Prolific fan artist andPokemonfan HertzBurst shared their latest design, which is a Mega Unown. The Mega Unown has morphed into a Pokemon version of the Mega Evolution symbol, which fits pretty perfectly with its normal existence of variations based upon the alphabet. Outside of the eye of theUnownfloating at the bottom of the Mega Evolution symbol, it could easily be mistaken for not being a Pokemon at all. In fact, HertzBurst has dubbed it the Symbol Pokemon. HertzBurst’s Mega Unown has maintained its standard Psychic typing, but its height and weight have increased, nearly doubling in height and gaining four pounds over its usual forms.
Pokemon Fans React to Mega Unown
Those responding to the post have been extremely positive about it, commenting on how its simplicity is part of what makes it work so well. One fan suggested that its Mega Evolution could be something that’s only unlocked after players have successfullycollected every Unown type in the game, though this may be asking a bit much to make it practical to use for some players. Others simply expressed excitement for the return of Mega Evolution inPokemon Legends: Z-A.
When it was introduced, Unown was a very unusual Pokemon, given its multiple forms and the challenge that posed to players. The Pokemon quickly made an impression on fans' minds as well due to its prominence in one of thePokemonanime films. However, it hasn’t seen many major changes in the game for quite some time. Initially receiving two extra forms back in Gen 3, the Pokemon has largely remained the same since. While it remains to be seen what the future holds for the series and this particular Pokemon, it does seem like it’s time for Unown to get an update, and this Mega Evolution is a popular direction to take it in.
