It’s entirely possible that The Pokemon Company’s involvement at Gamescom will be restricted to the in-person event. Still, there’s now at least a slim chance that aPokemonannouncement could happen at Gamescom, and so fans should consider tuning in to Opening Night Live just in case.

It’s unclear exactly what The Pokemon Company will be showcasing at Gamescom, regardless if it has something new to announce during Opening Night Live or not. There are multiple live servicePokemongames that could be featured, likePokemon GO,Pokemon Sleep, andPokemon Unite. MostPokemonfans are anxious to learn Switch gamePokemon Legends: Z-A. It’s possible, though unlikely, that The Pokemon Company will utilize Gamescom to show offLegends: Z-A, which so far has only had a CG trailer released for it.
Pokemon Legends: Z-Ais releasing in 2025, and so one would imagine that trailers and information on the game will start being released at a steadier pace as we get closer to the new year. Traditionally, bigPokemonreveals and announcements have been reserved for Pokemon Presents events, so fans shouldn’t hold their breath for the game to be featured at Gamescom.
