Summary
The mobile AR gamePokémon GOwill be hosting a Raid Day in September centered around Gen-8 Pokémon Falinks, including the ability to catch shiny versions of the Formation Pokémon in the game for the first time ever.Pokémon GOwill be hosting this event for a three-hour window on September 8, which will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
Seemingly one of the more popular monsters introduced to the franchise inPokémon Sword and Shield, Falinks is a Fighting-type Pokémon that appears as a collection of six small, bipedal entities wearing combat helmets, all marching in a straight line.Falinks is also catchable inPokémon Scarlet and Violet, which limited the number of native Pokémon in its base game to around 400, showing it’s more than a one-hit-wonder.
The upcoming Raid Day event on September 8 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time will see Shiny Falinks appearing in the world for the first time. During the event, Falinks will become more commonly found during raids, and players will also have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Falinks from raids. Players may want to start collectingRemote Raid Passesearly, as the game will bump up the number of them that can be carried by a single player to 20 for a limited time starting September 7 at 5 p.m. local time. Players will be able to collect up to five free Remote Raid Passes by spinning Gym Disc Photos during this time period.
When is the Pokémon GO Falinks Raid Day?
While the event is free to play for all players, the game is also offering $5 Event Tickets from the game’s shop, granting some increased bonuses. The most helpful bonus for catching a Shiny Falinks will be the ability to pick up eight additional Remote Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, bumping the total collectible daily to 14. In addition to that bonus, the Event Tickets will give players participating in Raid Battles double the normal amount of Stardust and a 50 percent boost to XP gains. In addition to buying Event Tickets for themselves, players will also be able to send Gift Tickets to friends, providing they’re reached a high enoughFriend Level inPokémon GO.
The Falinks-related event isn’t the only thing Niantic has brewing in the near future. ThePokémon GOWild Areaevent is set for a global launch in November after a limited release in Fukuoka, Japan, although the developers are still keeping a tight lip on what to expect from that event.
