Expressing their surprise at the encounter, they posted a picture of hundo PhD Pikachu. A hundo is a Pokemon that hasperfect IV stats inPokemon GO. Each of the IV attributes: attack, defense, and stamina, can have 16 different values from 0 to 15. So the odds of getting a hundo from any wild encounter is 1/4096, making them one of the hardest-to-get Pokemon in the game. While the increased IV floor makes them slightly easier to get through other methods such as raids and research encounters, they are still incredibly difficult to get and the most sought Pokemon in the game. Not to forget, these are the most powerful variants of a species, too.
How to Get PhD Pikachu in Pokemon GO
What makes this encounter even more special is that PhD Pikachu can only be caught once inPokemon GO. to get it, players will need to win 100PokeStop Showcases inPokemon GO, which is not an easy task to achieve. The first 10 wins give them a Bronze Medal and headband, 25 wins give glasses and a Silver Medal, 50 wins give a pose and Gold Medal, and finally, 100 wins give a PhD Pikachu encounter along with the coveted Platinum Medal.
It is crucial to note that this is by far the rarestPhD Pikachu variant one can get inPokemon GO. While a shiny one would have made it much rarer, shiny PhD Pikachu isn’t available inPokemon GO. It is not known when PhD Pikachu will be available in its shiny form inPokemon GO, but it will likely be released as part of some event.
