Reddit user TheMisterTango shared their ridiculous collection of exactly 1967 Wailmers with other players on the site. A screenshot backs up their claim, and they went on to specify that of these 1967 Wailmers, 5 areShiny Wailmers, 138 are Lucky, 6 are Hundos, 6 are Shadow Pokemon, 48 are XXL in size, and the remainder are average finds. Its not TheMisterTango’s only way of celebrating the Pokemon either, as the fan notes that they’re working on collecting every WailmerPokemon TCGcard ever made in every language, with the English collection nearly complete. They plan to move on to buying up the Japanese Wailmer cards next.
Pokemon GO Player Really, Really Likes Wailmer
Needless to say, fans have been agog at the absurd collection of Wailmer. One fan said that this player had more Wailmer than they hadstorage for Pokemon. Another player compared their own obsession to TheMisterTango’s, showing off the 1153 Chansey they currently have in the game. TheMisterTango noted that they didn’t catch all of these, as their friends give the OP all the Wailmer they come across and catch. However, the most common question to this user was why on earth they had collected so many Wailmer, to which TheMisterTango repeatedly answered with just “Wailmer.” Apparently the fondness for this Pokemon doesn’t extend to its evolution, though, as TheMisterTango only has two Wailord, and thousands of Wailmer candies.
With over a thousand Pokemon in existence, it’s not too surprising that fans tend to develop favorites. Even one of the original developers of Pokemon, Junichi Masuda, has notably pointed toPsyduckas his favorite. A player’s favorite Pokemon being effective in battle isn’t necessarily important. Whether it’s due to a Pokemon’s design, behavior, its characterization in the anime, or just being Wailmer, players can get passionate about their favorites.
