BeforeSurging Sparksdebuts, tabletop enthusiasts haveScarlet & Violet - Stellar Crown’s ACE SPEC and new Pokemon ex cardsto look forward to. Releasing on September 13,Stellar Crownis the seventh main expansion in theScarlet & Violetseries and boasts 170 cards to collect. This set will focus mainly on Tera Pokemon, with Terapagos being the star of the show, and depart from the mythical theme of the previous set,Shrouded Fable.

The Pokemon Company International confirmedScarlet & Violet - Surging Sparkswill be the eighth expansion in the series and release on November 8. The English set will contain over 250 cards and feature artwork from the JapaneseParadise Dragonaexpansion. Fans can expect to grab the regular assortment of products, including Booster Packs, Blister Packs, and Elite Trainer Boxes, and the set will include eight ACE SPEC cards, nine Stellar Tera Pokemon ex and nine Pokemon ex cards, 23 illustration rare Pokemon, 11 special illustration rare Pokemon and Supporter cards, and six hyper rare gold etched cards.

Pokemon TCG: Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks Expansion Announced For November

The main attraction of theSurging Sparksset is the rare Stellar Tera Pokemon ex cards, with one of the nine featured pocket monsters being Pikachu and its powerful Topaz Bolt attack.Mighty Pikachu’s Tera Raid encounter in thePokemon Scarlet & Violetvideo gameis light work compared to the electric mouse’s tabletop presence, and also joining the Stellar Tera card list will be Alolan Exeggutor ex, Latias ex, Archaludon ex, and other Dragon-type Pokemon.

Pokemon TCGplayers can play with theSurging Sparksset ahead of the expansion’s main launch by attending one of the pre-release tournaments in the Play! Pokemon program. Tournament commentators previously grappled with thePokemon Scarlet & Violettournament’s AI tool called Pokemon Battle Scope, which effectively threatened their role, but hopefully, theSurging Sparksevents will be in good spirits.

Announced in tandem with theSurging Sparksexpansion, The Pokemon Company also revealed the all-newPokemon TCG: Grand Adventure Collectionin collaboration withPokemon Horizons: The Series.US fans became impatient duringPokemon Horizons’ delayed English releaseon Netflix, but the TCG collection’s promo cards and appearances from dual protagonists, Liko and Roy, should abolish past grievances.
