The Prisoner is one of the many characters that have a side quest inBlack Myth: Wukong. You first encounter him in Pagoda Realm, which functions and looks like a prison. He tells the Destined One to stay where they are and not cause trouble.
The initial conversation is extremely limited as there is a barrierstopping you from entering his cell inBlack Myth: Wukong. The real side quest begins after you find a way to break the gate and talk with the prisoner directly.
How To Trigger Prisoner Quest In Black Myth: Wukong
Upon being thrown into the Pagoda Realm, get out of your cell and walk a few steps to find the Prisoner’s cell with a purple seal. Exhaust his dialogue and then players must proceed to the second floor of the Pagoda Realm through exploration. After activating the Upper Pagoda Keeper’s Shrine, turn around and jump down the cliff onto a red roof. Drop to the ground to find the first required Captain Spirit for this quest, which isCaptain Lotus-Vision, a hidden boss.

Captain Wise-Voice
Captain Wise-Voiceis not an optional boss, as players must fight it to progress with the story. You will find it after climbing to the top of the Pagoda Realm and arriving at the Mani Wheel Keeper’s Shrine. Entering the boss room triggers a small cutscene.
To defeat Captain Wise-Voice, the Destined One needs to keep hitting it repeatedlyuntil the boss falls to the groundand exposes its weak point. The Captain is tanky and does some AoE attacks, so be careful. Make sure to take the Spirit after the fight.
Captain Void-Illusion
The next Captain is located in the Valley of Ecstasy. You need to progress through many areas and defeat some bosses until you unlock the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine.
From the Shrine, turn right and run past an enemy, then turn right again to find the carcass ofCaptain Void-Illusion. Interact with it to take the Spirit.
Captain Kalpa-Wave
Similar to the Captain Wise-Voice,Captain Kalpa-Waveis also anecessary boss to complete the Destined One’s journey. You can reach the boss from the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy. Run to the end of the big arena full of petrified enemies while sticking to the right side. Climb the stairs and proceed ahead to find Captain Kalpa-Wave. Defeat them and collect their soul.
Once all Spirits Captains have been obtained, return to the Prisoner in Lower Pagoda and hand them over. He thanks players immensely and rewards them with theChubai Spearheaditem to craft weapons as well as other valuable materials.
