Previously, thePlayStation Plus Last Chance to Play section confirmedthatDestroy All Humans: Reprobed,NBA 2K24,Need for Speed Unbound,SpellForce 3 Reforced, andTrials of Manawere all on the way out. Now another five games have been added to the Last Chance to Play section,as noticed by Push Square, bringing the grand total number of departures to 10.Destroy All Humans,Lost Judgment,Midnight Fight Express,Moving Out 2, andSea of Starsjoin the previously-confirmed departures. It’s expected that all of these games will beremoved from PS Plus Extra on August 20.
PS Plus Games Leaving August 2024
There are some heavy hitters leaving PS Plus Extra in August. TheDestroy All Humansremasters have a nostalgic quality to them, whileLost Judgmentis part of Sega’sLike a Dragonfranchise.Moving Out 2is a great co-op game to play with friends, whileSea of Starswas one of the rare day one PS Plus Extra games.Sea of Starsalso earned a great deal of critical acclaim, and with an update on the way that’s set to add local co-op, it’s a real shame to see it removed from PS Plus Extra.
While it’s sad to see these games removed from PS Plus Extra, there will be new titles added to the service this month as well. Sony will most likely announce the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for August 2024 on Wednesday, August 14, or thereabouts. In the meantime, it’s been leaked thatSecret Agent Clankis coming to PS Plus Premium, but it’s unclear if it will be doing so as part of the August 2024 new additions.
PlayStation 5
Sony’s PlayStation 5 is part of the ninth console generation and debuted with a launch lineup that included Demon’s Souls and Astro’s Playroom. The console comes with a Blu-ray disc, although a digital-only edition is also available for a cheaper price.
