Reddit is experiencing a major outage on Wednesday, August 28, with the site’s various pages largely inaccessible. Reddit is an extremely popular forum site where people of all kinds of interests come together to discuss everything from video games to recipes to true crime to politics to basically any topic you can think of. It’s one of the world’s most popular sites and has been so for years.
Gamers have flocked to Reddit for years to talk about their favorite video games. Sometimes gamers go to Reddit to ask questions on how to get through a particular section of a game, and other times they go there to share Easter eggs they’ve found,discuss lore theories, or just share the memorable moments they’ve experienced in their games. Reddit is used by millions of people every single day, and so it’s good that it rarely goes down.
Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, Reddit is experiencing one of its rare major outages. As of 3:26pm CT on August 28, Reddit is down and can’t be accessed by its users. Those trying to use Reddit are met with a note stating that the site can’t load the page due to a server error. While we can’t say with 100% certainty just how widespread this Reddit outage is, over 150,000 people have gone toDown Detectorto report problems with the site. This indicates that this is a massive outage that could very well be impactingeveryonetrying to use Reddit.
