Resident Evil: Containment Brings a New Story to the RE Universe
One of the biggest appeals ofResident Evil: Containmentis its compelling story, set before the events ofthe originalResident EvilandResident Evil 0. InResident Evil: Containment, players take control of Ghost, a new member of the Umbrella Security Service who’s tasked with cleaning up the recent outbreak of the T-virus. This means eliminating any escaped B.O.W.s and silencing any surviving Umbrella scientists.
Resident Evil: Containment’s prologue opens with Ghost andfan-favorite character Hunkbeing dropped off in the Arklay Mountains, where they soon discover the source of Umbrella’s distress calls. Over the course of four hour-long chapters, players will venture to a variety of new locations and a refreshed Spencer Mansion. Rather than try to deliver any universe-breaking pieces of lore,Resident Evil: Containmentremains suitably self-contained, and it’s able to thrive as a smaller-scale survival horror adventure that could easily fit into the franchise’s canon.
