Summary
New details regarding one of the newIntelArrow Lake-S chips have been leaked, including exact specifications.IntelArrow Lake CPUs are expected to launch later this year, with a full reveal reportedly set for the upcoming Intel Innovation event in September.
In June, leaks revealed information aboutIntel Lunar Lake’s Skymont efficiency cores, which are also featured in Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake desktop CPUs. Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake’s Skymont cores feature “double-digit” instructions per clock, or IPC, over previous generation Crestmont cores. Each chip will contain Lion Cove performance cores and Skymont efficiency cores, providing a major uplift in multithreaded performance. Despite the presence of new LGA-1851 motherboards at Computex 2024, Intel did not reveal its Intel Core Ultra 200 series CPUs, which utilize the Arrow Lake microarchitecture.
As reported byVideocardz.comand Twitter user @wxnod, a CPU-Z leak revealed new details and specifications for an upcoming Intel Arrow Lake-S CPU. The screenshot from CPU-Z shows a “Revision B0” Intel Core Ultra xx5K engineering sample for the LGA-1851 socket. The sample is listed as a 7nm chip, but this could be a mistake as Arrow Lake is expected to use a more advanced node. This new Intel Core Ultra xx5K chip will feature eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores, providing a total of 24 threads. As a result, the new Arrow Lake chip will offer notable performance gains over some ofIntel’s best 13th and 14th gen gaming CPUs. In addition, the upcoming CPU has a 125W TDP and a boost clock exceeding 5.0 GHz.
Intel Core Ultra xx5K Specifications Have Been Leaked on CPU-Z
Further, the Intel Core Ultra xx5K engineering sample features a 2.4 MB L1 cache, a 40 MB L2 cache, and a 36 MB L3 cache. It’s unclear how recent the sample is, but speculation points toward the chip having similar performance to the long-rumored Intel Core Ultra 285K, which can boost up to 5.7 GHz. The 285K should be a highly competitive option against some of2024’s best CPUs on the market.
Intel Arrow Lake CPUswill be released alongside Lunar Lake. Unlike Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake will target mid-range and high-end hardware, including gaming laptops and desktop products, instead of low-powered laptops. Rumors suggest the new Arrow Lake CPUs will be revealed at Intel Innovation, which takes place on September 24 to 25 in San Jose, California. Intel is reportedly targeting an October launch for Arrow Lake, but it’s worth noting that these plans are subject to change.
Intel Core i9 14900KS 24-Core, 32-Thread CPU
The Intel Core i9 14900KS 24-core, 32-thread CPU is Intel’s special edition CPU take on its flagship 14th generation CPU, the Core i9 14900K.It is essentially a cherry-picked 14900K SKU that can push higher clocks with up to a minimum of 6.2 GHz on its P-Cores, making it effectively the highest-clocked CPU out of the box to date when it comes to boost clocks from Intel. It trades at a significant premium as a result and is expected, as a limited-run chip, to be a collectible SKU with high demand from enthusiasts and overclockers in 2024.
