On July 17, it was announced that news for theYakuza/Like a Dragonseries would be dropped during the Tokyo Game Showbetween September 26 and September 29. The developer’s presentation will presumably take place during the September 26 TGS livestream from 10 am to 10:50 am ET.

Six days before the2024 edition of the Tokyo Game Show, Ryu Ga Gotoku will release news about its next game. The announcement will be on a livestream at 3am PT / 6am ET / 11am UK on September 20. The event is set to confirm the nextYakuza/Like a Dragongame from the Japanese studio. It is not known if the game being revealed is a mainline title forYakuza/Like a Dragon, or perhaps if multiple titles will be shown.

September 20 Will Reveal the Next Yakuza Game

Some recent news has come forYakuzafans who own a Nintendo Switch, asYakuza Kiwamiwas revealed during a Nintendo Directto be coming to the console. The port releases on October 24 and is a full remake of the originalYakuzagame that was launched back in 2005.Yakuza Kiwamihas been available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC for some time. The Nintendo Switch version marks eight years since the first release of the title.

TheYakuzaseries is well known for shifting between its serious tone in the mainline story and a more casual and humorous tone during sidequests known as sidestories. A live-actionYakuzaTV show from Amazon Primeis in the works. However, the show will focus on the main story beats and avoid any of the lighthearted sidestory source material. The show will be calledLike a Dragon: Yakuzaand will release in two batches on October 25 and July 20, 2025, for fans to binge.
