In advance of the Grand Festival,Splatoon 3has released the new idol song entitled Three Wishes. Like some recentSplatoon 3songs, this one features lyrical translations, with the three idol groups singing about the themes that their teams are carrying: Past, Present, and Future.The Squid Sistersstart out the song talking about their past and how they’ve helped to shape the road for the other two idol groups to follow. Off the Hook sing about their relationship and seizing the day, while Deep Cut highlight the bond between the three of them and how they’re working to shape the future.
Now or Never Seven’s Song Finally Revealed
While Nintendo hasn’t explicitly stated where this song will be utilized during the game, it’s most likely the song that will be used in the lobby during the last day of the event, where the three idol groups are going to be performing on-stage together. The prior trailer gave a hint of what it would be like, showing the groups in their new outfits and performing onstage both separately and together amid a huge crowd of onlookers.
This song team-up was teased in a recent “interview” with theSplatoonidolspublished by Nintendo, which had the groups deciding to form a collab under the name Now or Never Seven. The name was chosen since all three groups have had their own variations of the Now or Never song that plays during the last moments of turf war battles. The combination is pretty exciting, not only for putting their musical styles together, but for long-time fans of the series who are happy to see the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook get some time in the limelight again.
There’s a lot riding on this Splatfest, so fans are encouraged to join in. It remains to be seen how Past, Present, and Future will potentially impact the series. Marie’s win inSplatoon’s final Splatfest led to her having the main role in theSplatoon 2Story Mode, while Chaos winning inSplatoon 2led to Splatsville and the Side Order DLC.
