It was revealed during the August 27 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase thatSTALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogywill be released on the Switch sometime in November. According to GSC Game World, this port will contain versions ofShadow of Chernobyl,Clear Sky, andCall of Pripyatthat have been optimized forNintendo’s popular gaming console. Among the highlighted features ofSTALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy’s upcoming Switch build were support for the handheld’s various modes, gyroscope integration, and limited availability of touchscreen controls. The PlayStation and Xbox versions of the compilation received console enhancements like reworked controls and UI improvements, so such changes will likely be in the Switch release as well.

The Ukrainian studio faced plenty of challenges during the creation of its newest title due to Russia’s ongoing invasion of the country, including the loss of a team member serving in the war and a hack that resulted in an early build of the game being publicly leaked. In a recently published interview,STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyltechnical producer Evgeniy Kulik acknowledged that the development process has taken a heavy toll on the GSC Game World staff, but he noted that the studio was excited to see the reactions of players when they finally get their hands onSTALKER’s latest installment. “They’re providing us a lot of energy to look for,” Kulik said.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobylis powered by Unreal Engine 5, which features advanced graphics technologies like Lumen and Nanite.
