Aspyr Media now has its sights onStar Wars: Bounty Hunter, an action-adventure game released back in 2002 that followed the journey of fearsome bounty hunter Jango Fett, on a contract to hunt down a dangerous Dark Jedi. The original release teased a hidden unlockable where players could play as Boba Fett, only for this not to be the case. Aspyr Media has decided to take this and make it a reality.
As revealed by Aspyr, players will be able to play as Boba Fett by completing the game in the re-release ofStar Wars: Bounty Hunter. The original game contained a low-resolution image with a hidden message in Aurebesh that simply read, “Cash in all bounties to play as Boba.” Upon completing this task, however, no such reward would be given, leavingmanyStar Warsfans desperate for a chance to play Boba Fett. In the blog post, Bashaar explains that Aspyr has brought the Easter egg to life and that players will get the opportunity to equip a Boba Fett skin should they fully complete the campaign, bringing life to the ancient rumor after over 20 years.
