Star Wars Outlawsfeatures its fair share of iconicStar Warscharacters and locations, but few play quite as big a role in the story as Jabba the Hut. The slug-like crime lord ends up purchasing Kay’s companion Nix after he’s stolen from her, forcing the intrepid adventurer to infiltrate Jabba’s palace to rescue him. It’s one of the bestmain quests inStar Wars Outlaws, but can also be one of the most frustrating due to its closing stages.
Although Kay is eventually reunited with her beloved merqaal, she ends up falling into Jabba’s pit, where she and Vale must work together to take down a terrifying Rancor. The first part of the boss fight is pretty simple, withStar Wars Outlawsplayers just having to explode some barrels and then bait the Rancor into charging at the hangar door, but that all changes when the conveyor belt carrying the aforementioned barrels stops moving.
How to Restart the Railing System During the Rancor Boss Fight
Afterbaiting the Rancorinto charging at the hangar door a few times, the barrel transportation system will stop working, at which point, Vale will tell Kay tolook for a lever to restart the railing system. The level in question is on a platform just to the right of the hangar door, although players will not be able to reach it by themselves, and shooting at the level with Kay’s blaster won’t work either. As such, players will need to tell Nix to pull the lever.
To do this, they should target the lever and then hold either the L1 (PlayStation) or LB (Xbox) button toopen up the Nix menu. Assuming they’re within range, they should then be able to press the X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox) button to have Nix restore power. From there, it’s a simple case of waiting for one of the red barrels to be within range of the Rancor, shooting it with Kay’s blaster, and then baiting the Rancor so that it charges the hangar door one final time.
If players ever find themselves stumped by one of thepuzzles or mission tasks inStar Wars Outlaws, there’s a good chance that the solution will involve using Nix in some way, shape, or form.
