The majority of the focus ofStar Wars Outlawsis on Kay and how she interacts with the criminal underworld of the galaxy. While you’ll be working with or against many of themajor criminal factions, the Empire is still the major power throughout the galaxy, and it shows in the game.
Causing issues with the Empire can get you a Wanted level that can eventually turn into a full-on manhunt which will make it difficult to get around on a planet. Becoming such a threat will also bring about Death Troopers, and start a unique event that can also give players an achievement.
Where To Find Death Troopers In Star Wars Outlaws
You won’t find Death Troopers, they’ll find you. While they may not physically hunt you down,Death Troopers are only called onto a planet when a manhunt is happening, meaning you’ll first have to max out your Wanted level. Before beginning this process, be sure tostock up on itemsand be ready for a fight, as the entire planet will become a lot more hostile if you are trying to take down the Death Troopers.
To get your wanted level to the max, you’ll need to kill multiple stormtroopers and officers in view of others. Doing so out in the middle of nowhere will quickly make your wanted level go down, so it’sbest to head towards an Imperial outpost. Once there, start fighting loudly, so the alarm is set and all enemies are altered to your presence. Your wanted level will be depicted by the bars around the Imperial logo, with more bars being added the more enemies you kill and are seen doing so.
Once your wanted level maxes out, you’ll get a notification that the manhunt has begun and your wanted level will set in at the maximum. Now, you can onlyremove your wanted levelby paying off an imperial officer, dying, or taking out the Death Troopers who have just arrived on the planet to find you. During this time, theDeath Trooper event will appear on-screen and your distance to the Death Troopers will be shownjust underneath. Their exact location will also be marked on the map, making them easier to find.
How To Kill Death Troopers
During a manhunt, roads will be cut off with shields, and imperial patrols will be everywhere looking for you. Should you get to the Death Trooper’s location, there will bethree present with one officer. It’s usually best to go and find a nearby patrol and hope they drop you a better weapon than your blaster andsome Bacta vials, as Death Troopers have very high health and deal just as much to you.
It’s best to try and fight Death Troopers one at a time, or at least focus them down one at a time, as it will take about two full magazines of your blaster just to take one down. Inside the tent they are operating out of will be astash of E-11s you can try to sneak in and use against them, as only a few shots from those will take them down.
Once you defeat the Death Troopers and officer, use the key card the officer drops to get rid of your wanted level, end the manhunt, and get the They Live Up To The Name achievement.
