Despite being anopen-world game, the opening stages ofStar Wars Outlawsare incredibly linear. After finishing the tutorial section on Cantonica, players will find themselves on Toshara, where things do start to open up a little. However, even then, they’ll still be limited to just a single planet (or moon, to be more precise) for quite some time.
It’s only once they complete a mission called The Wreck that players will be free to start exploring other planets, at which point, Kijimi, Akiva, and Tatooine will all become available. Players will be free to choose which one they visit first, although, after diving back into the questline, some may forget how to visit new planets inStar Wars Outlaws.
How to Visit New Planets in Star Wars Outlaws
Those hoping to travel to other planets will first need to progress through the main story until they complete The Wreck, after which, pressing right on the D-pad while in space will open up the hyperspace menu. From here, players will see a list of all of the orbits that they can currently visit and will be free to select any one they like using either the X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox) button. After visiting a planet and unlocking a fast travel location, players will be able to jump between orbits usingStar Wars Outlaws' fast travel system. However, players must use the hyperspace menu when visiting an orbit for the first time.
Which Planet Should You Visit First? (Kijimi, Akiva, or Tatooine Best Planet Order)
The game suggests visitingKijimifirst, and it’s hard to argue too much with that recommendation. Ultimately, though,it doesn’t matter too much. In fact, several of the questlines that are triggered or unlocked in the Kijimi Orbit require players to travel to Tatooine and Akiva, so there’ll be plenty of jumping between orbits either way. It’s also worth noting thatthe three crewmate questlines can be tackled simultaneously, so if players find that they don’t like the vibe of the orbit that they choose first, they can always travel to one of theother planets inStar Wars Outlawsand then come back to their current one later on.
