Starfield Update 1.13.61 Introduces REV-8 Land Vehicle
Bethesda has now shared the complete changelog detailing this newly debuted release. The patch notes are spearheaded byStarfield’s REV-8, the first-ever land vehicle to make its way to the space-faring RPG. Obtaining this new means of transportation is as simple as talking to any Ship Services Technician, who can usually be found in the immediate vicinity of major spaceports. Speaking to them will reveal a new dialogue option that will let players purchase the REV-8 for a one-time fee of 25,000 credits. The vehicle offers some light customization options in the form of different paint jobs.
The newly introduced patch also adds some additional graphics settings for the Xbox Series S version of the RPG that are meant to mirror its Series X counterpart. These allowStarfieldto run at 60 frames per second on the Xbox Series Seven without mods. Players using displays with a variable refresh rate can choose to target 30, 40, or 60 FPS, or opt for the Uncapped option. Displays of the non-VRR variety still support 30 and 60 targets, though the latter could cause screen tearing on them. Enabling the newly added VSync option should help alleviate or eliminate screen tearing.
The new patch also revises some annoying bugs that have long been plaguing theStarfieldPhoto Mode. Specifically, station and ship interiors should now be lit correctly while taking pictures, while helmets on downed companions will no longer ignore user-set toggles. Bethesda says that it also improved the reflection quality in Shallow puddles, on top of fixing some upscaling issues that caused visual artifacts and even messed with frame generation settings on PC.
Furthermore, the 1.13.61 update packs several fixes targeting decoration mechanics. The patch thus eliminates a glitch that allowed players to place interior objects outside of ships, while also making flood lamps toggle correctly at outposts with a power source. Some minor UI tweaks are also part of the package, together with quest and gameplay bug fixes.
