Stray’s Nintendo Switch Port Finally Receives a Release Date
Over a year after its initial launch in 2022,Strayalso received a port for the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, followed by a macOS version later that same year, making the Switch the last current platform for which the game had yet to release. It initially launched as a PlayStation console exclusive, only being available on the PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam for a while before it received any further ports.
WhileStrayis the first and only game from developer BlueTwelve Studio, publisher Annapurna Interactive has released some fairly high-profile indie games in the past. The company is responsible forthe cult favorite roguelikeOuter Wildsas well as the critically-acclaimedWhat Remains of Edith Finch,both of which received massive praise upon release.
For those looking to experience the story in another medium,Strayis also slated to receive an animated film adaptationfrom Annapurna Animation in the near future. There is currently no information about how far along the project is or when it might see a release date, but fortunately for fans, the game will now be available across all current platforms to check out in the meantime.
