Dragon Slayers are a rare breed inFairy Tail, being mageswho have a distinct affinity with Dragons. As the name implies, they can kill Dragons and also get their magic from Dragons.
In the Fairy Tail universe, there are quite a few powerful Dragon Slayers who exist in the world and work with various guilds, both good and evil. Dragon Slayers eachhave their own kind of magicthat they wield, and it sometimes comes with different elements or types. Of all the Dragon Slayers that exist in the world, these are by far the strongest.

Diabolos, a guild solely comprising Dragon eaters, plays host to many Dragon Slayers, some even said to be stronger than the series' protagonists. This list has been updated with a few more entries to reflect the status of previous and newly introduced Dragon Slayers in Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest.
13Erik
His Hearing Magic Grants Him An Incredible Advantage
Erik, who is otherwise known as Cobra, was a member of the dark guild, Oración Seis, who were looking for the sealed magic, Nirvana. Erik is a powerful wizard who primarily works with poison, as this is his magic. He is immune to it and can manifest poison so corrosive that it melts anything.
What makes him so terrifying is his hearing, which grants him a great advantage in a fight. Erik’s hearing is so keen that it can detect the movements of one’s soul. Unfortunately, it was also his greatest weakness, as Natsu’s loud scream was loud enough to destabilize him and win.
12Wendy
A Dragon Slayer With So Much Potential
Wendy is the youngest of the Dragon Slayers and is a powerful mage who uses Sky Dragon Slayer magic, which is essentially wind-based. As a first-generation Dragon Slayer,Wendy is really strong, as evidenced by her battle with Irene where she helped Erza. She was also with the Dragon Slayers that defeated Acnologia.
Perhaps her most impressive feat was using her Dragon Force abilities to defeat Ezel, one of the nine demon gates from the dark guild, Tartaros.
11Rogue
A True Shadow Lord
Rogue Cheney is a member of the Sabertooth guild,the strongest guild inFairy Tail— that is before being overtaken by Fairy Tail itself. His Shadow Dragon Slayer powers enable him to envelop himself in darkness. Cool and laid back when in normal conversation, but ready to throw down at any time, Rogue is a force to be reckoned with.
Along with Sting, he was able to initially take down Natsu and Gaejeel, and he always seems to be at his best when he has Sting by his side. He is able to utilize Shadow Drive, which enhances his power, and he can also use Dragon Force.
10Sting
Rogue’s Brother In Arms
Sting is the other half of the twin dragons (Rogue being the other twin) and is one of the strongest members of Sabertooth. He utilizes White Dragon Slayer magic, which means he is essentially able to manipulate light in the same way Rogue can manipulate darkness.
He is strong enough to be recognized as Sabertooth’s guild master and was able to even hold his own against Larcarde Dragneel — and he even won the fight with the help of Rogue and Kagura’s power. Sting can pull off the moves of regular Dragon Slayers and goes the extra mile with his ability with things like his secret art, Holy Nova, which blasts everything to smithereens.
9Gajeel
The Iron Dragon Slayer Is Up For Any Scrap
Gajeel started in life as a villain representing Phantom Lord. When the guild was defeated, he joined Fairy Tail and was with them until they disbanded. He then joined the Magic Council, only to return to Fairy Tail once the gang got back together.
Gajeel uses Iron Dragon Slayer magic, which enables him to manipulate different types of iron. Gajeel’s ability to replenish his strength by eating iron, which is usually in abundant supply, means he is typically able to last in a battle. He has only grown stronger with time and was even able todefeat Bloodmanby ingesting his poisonous bane particles.
8Kiria
A Fearsome Mage With an Appetite for Dragons
Kiria is one of the first Dragon Slayers to be introduced in the 100 Years Quest sequel’s narrative, and she has immediately left an impression with her fierce personality and novel powers. With Blade Dragon Slayer Magic, Kiria has the power to cut through anything, including her opponent’s willpower. She was able to overwhelm Erza with just one strike, cutting through her will and turning her into a slave.
However, Kiria can be blinded by her arrogance, an unpalatable aspect of her persona that led to her defeat at the hands of Laxus. Nevertheless, the true extent of Kiria’s power remains unknown, as she is likely to return in 100 Year Quest’s latter arcs.
7Madmole
An Impenetrable Behemoth
Standing as an impenetrable wall against his opponents, Madmole boasts Armor Dragon Slayer Magic, a type of lost art that increases his durability and strength by several folds. His power deems him an unstoppable force, as his magic renders him immune to both physical and magic attacks.
As a fifth-generation Dragon Slayer, Madmole is incredibly powerful. His strength is further backed by his strategic fighting and calm persona, an aspect that his counterparts lack. Overall, Madmole is a powerhouse that is set to be an obstacle for Fairy Tail on the continent of Guiltina.
6Skullion Raider
An Invincible Corpse Dragon Slayer
As the de facto leader of his unit in Diabolos, Skullion Raider is the strongest Dragon Slayer among the newly introduced characters in the100 Years Quest sequel. With Corpse Dragon Slayer Magic at his disposal, Skullion possesses the power to turn his opponents’ bodies to ash and teleport them wherever he wants.
Skullion can also turn his own body to ash, a power that grants him invulnerability to both physical and magic attacks. With strategic wits and a godly power at his disposal, Skullion is arguably one of Diabolos’ strongest assets.
5Laxus
A Strong Heritage
Laxus is a second-generation Dragon Slayer who uses Lightning Dragon Slayer magic. The son of Ivan — the master of Raven Tail — and the grandson of Makarov, who is Fairy Tail’s master, Laxus comes from a long line of distinguished and powerful mages.
His strength has been evident from the very beginning of the series, and his power just continued to grow. Laxus can use various forms of lightning magic, including Red Lightning Dragon mode, which makes him stronger and is a lightning that ‘surpasses lightning.’ Laxus can also supposedly useFairy Law, which is a very difficult spell to cast, with only top mages like Mavis and Makarov able to cast it.
4God Serena
Jack Of All Trades
God Serena has the distinct pleasure of being imbued with eight Dragon lacrimas, which gives him a wide variety of abilities and powers. He is able to utilize fire, water, wind, light, darkness, and more.
He was able to defeatfour wizarding saintsin one fight, with the highly accomplished mages unable to hold a candle to him. He was also able to almost defeat most of the Fairy Tail wizards if not for the arrival of Gildarts.
