One of the biggest selling points ofSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s post-launch DLCis new playable members of Task Force X, all pulled from the multiverse left open in the wake of Brainiac’s invasion of Metropolis and subsequent brainwashing of Earth’s heroes. The first of these characters was none other than The Joker, who is far younger and notably less evil than the version that terrorized gamers throughout theBatman: Arkhamseries. PastSuicide Squadleaks have suggested that he would be joined by a female Mr. Freeze variant along with famousArkhamvillains like Deathstroke and Killer Croc – and now the former has officially been confirmed.
Earlier this week, the officialSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice LeagueTwitter accountrevealed that the Season 2 DLC will go live on July 11 andintroduce Mrs. Freeze as the next playable character. There will be two episodes of new weapons and other content coming in Season 2. The first of these episodes, appropriately titled “Frozen Hearts,” will add a Killer Frost-themed Infamy gear set, Firefly-inspired Notorious guns, and Parasite-themed Notorious melee weapons. There will also be a new, snow-covered Elseworlds map and a new Brainiac fight featuring Superman and the Flash.
The middle of Season 2 will be titled “Winter” and bring about its own icy upgrades in the form of a Captain Cold-themed Infamy set, Icicle-centric Notorious guns, and Notorious melee weapons inspired by The Trickster. These weapons will be put to usein new endgame Incursion missionsand a Brainiac fight against Superman and The Flash.Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguewill also add new costumes, banners, and other bonuses to the game’s Item Shop during Season 2.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s rocky receptionhas put the live-service title’s future into question, with Warner Bros. Discovery reporting that the game massively underperformed when it launched earlier this year. On a lighter note, Mrs. Freeze is finally going to make her previously-leaked debut inSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueas part of the upcoming Season 2 DLC that is going live later this month.
