Debuting all the way back in 1998, theMario Partyseries is one of Nintendo’s most prolific, with seven spinoffs and 11 mainline entries currently under its belt, and another one well on the way. Announced during a very packedrecent Nintendo Direct,Super Mario Party Jamboreelooks like it has the potential to be one of the bestMario Partyentries in recent memory.
It’s still much too early to make any true judgment call, butSuper Mario Party Jamboree’s first trailer offers some cause for excitement. Boasting an absurd number of minigames, an impressive number of boards, and a ton of playable characters to pick from,Super Mario Party Jamboreelooks like it’s shaping up to be the complete package, with Nintendo itself touting the game as “The biggestMario Partyyet” during its announcement trailer. This grandiose approach is something the series has needed for a while now, and hopefully, it’s an approach that Nintendo continues to use for future entries.

Every Mario Party Needs to Be The Biggest Yet
A major criticism of the last fewMario Partyentries has been their relatively thin content. WhileMario Party Superstarstried to make up for its predecessors' fewer modes, characters, and minigames, it did so with remade content from past entries, which offered a lot of nostalgic fun but wasn’t the full suite oforiginalMario Partycontentthat fans were asking for.
Super Mario Party Jamboree, on the other hand, finally offers the complete package. With more playable characters and minigames than ever before, a ton of unique boards for fans to dive into, and even some remade boards from prior entries for nostalgia’s sake,Super Mario Party Jamboreeis exactly what the series needed, and it should set the new standard for future entries.EveryMario Partygamefrom this point on should only be released if it can offer “The biggestMario Partyyet.”
