Sword of Convallariais a pixel-art,tactical RPGthat brings to life the story of many characters and their plight to protect the world from an attack against the Kingdom. Following the story of the main character, players can begin to build their team of fighters with other units they collect, ranging from attackers to defenders and healers. The higher the rarity of the character, the stronger their powers are, making levels feel like easy work.
Players can pull new characters usingthe gacha summon system, whereSword of Convallariawill occasionally release brand-new units with varying levels of power. to make stronger teams with capable fighters, it’s always optimal to pull for duplicates of the strongest units in order tolimit breaktheir levels and explore new levels of their skills. This will take some time and a bit of luck, but players can eventually obtain some of the best characters at their max level.
What Is Limit Breaking In Sword Of Convallaria?
Limit breaking is a popular mechanic in gacha games and involves playerssummoning duplicates of an individual character. Once a duplicate is obtained, players can unlock the next level in their evolutionary phase, unlocking new skills and power that can be used in combat. This, however, is up to the luck of the draw, and players will rely on the odds of a summon banner to obtain those copies and begin the process of a limit break.
InSword of Convallaria, players can obtain shards from either summoning duplicates or going through theshard mode, where players can collect enough shards each day to perform one limit break. Calculating the amount it takes to limit break a character inSword of Convallariaup to five levels, it would take players 100 days of consistent effort and shard collection to bring a character to maximum level and unlock their limit break art.
Obtaining Shards To Perform Limit Breaks
Shards inSword of Convallariaare a convenient way to slowly but surely build towards a single-stage limit break for one character. Players can enter the shard section once per day and collect amaximum of three shards per character. It is recommended that players bring no more than three characters into this mode, as players can only collect the maximum of three shards per unit each day, and having three characters on the team ensures each of them gets the maximum amount of shards.
Once enough shards are collected, players can visit the character selection screen and choose the unit they wish to limit break. Characters have amaximum level increase of fiveand unlock a special art to welcome the character’s potential to be unlocked. Since it takes 100 days to work up enough shards to limit break a character to five levels, it will become a decision of which characters players choose to work on to form their powerful team of fighters.
Should You Limit Break Every Character?
The reality is, there are over 30 Legendary units inSword of Convallaria, whichcomplicates things for the perfectionistslooking to limit break every character. With the fact that it takes 100 days to fully limit break one character, and players can earn enough shards for three characters at a time, it would take playersover 1,000 days to fully awaken each Legendary characterinSword of Convallaria.
For players who aren’t willing to spend close to three years of grinding without getting bored, it’s best to focus on the units that will help with building a world-class team. Characters such as Beryl, Col, Gloria, and Inanna are all wonderful units to build a team around, while Auguste, Cocoa, Homa, Saffiyah, and Taair are currently unavailable in the global version ofSword of Convallaria (but they will be game-breaking units once they make their way over).
Prioritize the units that are most comfortable and have skills that can function well with other units and have some fun.
Should another unit make it intoSword of Convallariathat is viable to replace a current party member, it will take 100 days to fully awaken them, but it is worth the investment if they become a permanent member of the squad.
