Tekken 8’s latest update is now live, adding DLC fighter Lidia Sobieska, a Photo Mode, and a handful of other new features and quality-of-life improvements. Bandai Namco’s latest 3D fighting game launched to rave reviews back in January, with many praising the title’s polished visuals and more aggressive gameplay. Tekken 8’s new Update 1.06 patch went live on July 22 after the game’s servers were temporarily taken offline for a few hours. The most prominent addition in this new update is Lidia Sobieska, who is now playable in Early Access for those who purchased theTekken 8Playable Character Year 1 Pass. Everyone else will have to wait until July 25 to add Lidia to theirTekken 8roster. Update 1.06 also adds the new “Seaside Resort” battle stage, as well as a Photo Mode that will allow players to take pictures of their high-octaneTekken 8matches.

New items have also been added toTekken 8’s Item Shop, such as the “TEKKEN Fight Pass -Round 2” battle pass. This includes new daily and weekly missions that players can complete during online matches to unlock items and earn spendable Tekken Coins. There will also be new “Celebrity Pack” and “Vacation Pack” costumes available for each playable character.

Lastly,Tekken 8’s newest update features improvements and bug fixes for theclassic Tekken Ball game mode, Special Style, and “My Replay and Tips.” There will be moreTekken8updates and patches in the near future, especially with the game’s first story-based DLC on the way. Bandai Namco is hoping to keepTekken 8in the public eye throughout 2024 and beyond through continued updates and special promotions, like the title’s recent crossover with Nike. In February of 2024, it was announced that the game had sold over two million copies in its first month.
