The Batmanis returning to cinemas for a brief theatrical run as part of a celebration of its iconic hero, and fans are going to get the opportunity to snag one sweet piece of merch representing a key piece from the character’s long history of crime fighting.

The Batmancaptured a lot of the same aura that the very best superhero films had before the age of the major comic book movie franchises, standing alone and delivering a darker, grittier and more grounded take on the character than any other live-action depiction since the iconicDark Knighttrilogy. Hailed as one of thebest movie reboots in recent memorydespite being an Elseworld project entirely removed from the main DC cinematic canon,The Batmangave leading man Robert Pattinson a redeemed image in the eyes of comic book fans after being dismissed afterTwilight, and brought a new, solitary Batman back into the forefront of the public mind.

Despite debuting all the way back in 1939, Batman continues to remain relevant to everything DC does, withthe Dark Knight being so in-demand that it borders on confusion. However, as the character’s 85th anniversary approaches, there’s some good, simple fun to be found in one merch listing that celebrates the occasion. As reported byThe Direct, AMC theaters will be stocking an item called the Batman 85th Popcorn Collectible Concession Vessel starting on the 28th as part of the celebration for the 85th anniversary of the iconic character, as an addition to new screenings of the 2022 Elseworld blockbusterThe Batman, which will also feature a preview of the upcoming spin-off seriesThe Penguin, centered on the eponymous villain.

On Aug. 28, as the world celebrates Batman’s 85th anniversary, AMC Theatre’s Batman 85th Popcorn Collectible Concession Vessel (CCV) beckons the Caped Crusader with a near prop quality 85-ounce light-up Bat Signal popcorn bucket (comes with a large popcorn for $34.99+tax) — and a 32-ounce lenticular (the images morph and move) drink cup with lid that comes with a large drink for $11.99+tax, while supplies last. Guests can bundle them together for $44.99+tax. Select AMC Theaters will be showing 2022’s ‘The Batman’ in Dolby Cinema at AMC, as well as a sneak peek of the HBO® Original series ‘The Penguin.’

The popcorn bucket trend has been fairly popular in recent times, with recent successes like the sequel filmDune 2and R-rated record-setterDeadpool & Wolverineboth introducing highly collectible popcorn buckets as part of the promotion for their theatrical runs. The Batman 85th Popcorn Collectible Concession Vessel certainly follows this trend as well, but is a clear winner. Batman’s anniversary has always been widely celebrated since the character rose to the top of the pile, with events such as theBatman80th anniversary celebration video game giveaways, and the addition of this special limited-edition memorabilia is right up there with some of the more on-brand celebrations fans have gotten to take part in. If nothing else, it’s certainly the most functional of the popcorn buckets, and of that much Batman would approve.

There’sa lot that fans would like to see inThe Batman Part 2,but more important than any one point would be a film that shows off and appreciates the character’s long history on the pages and screens of millions around the world. With 85 years at the top of the hero charts (and a cool collectible popcorn bucket) to his name, The Batman deserves that much and more.

The Batmanwill be making a return to select theaters for the 85th anniversary celebration, alongside a preview of the upcoming HBO seriesThe Penguin.
