Upcoming life simulation gameInZOI,from developers Krafton, recently offered potential players a sneak peek at what they can expect when the game finally releases thanks to a limited-time demo of theInZOIcharacter creator.

The creator has become incredibly popular, with players showing off their beautiful, impressive, and sometimes bizarre Zoi’s (InZOI’s version of Sims). The attention attracted by the creator comes from its various impressive features, and that’s what we are going to be looking at in this list.

We’re going to dive into five particularly noteworthy features of theInZOIcharacter creator demo that are guaranteed to make life simulation fans excited for the official release of the game.

5All Sorts of Customization

TheInZOIcharacter creator demo has gone viral due to the huge range of customization options available when creating a Zoi. There is so much that players can change with their Zoi, from skin tones to hair colors and shades, and details such as smile lines and eye bags. The customization also extends to the wardrobe options, with various colors and detailing available for the clothing choices.

It’s hard not to compare things toThe Sims, and as far as customization goes,InZOIwins purely due to the player not needing to spend a ton of money on expansions and other packs to gain access to all the customization choices. ThebaseSims 4game does have a fair amount of content for customization, but only a small fraction compared to what players can experience when they start buying packs.InZOIis already offering a lot of customization without the need for extra purchases, and the game hasn’t even been released yet.InZOIwins this round.

4Plenty of Presets

Players who prefer to jump straight into a game with a premade character have plenty to choose from with thepresets inInZOI. There is a huge range of diverse Zois to choose from with the available facial presets, but there are also clothing presets that can be saved or mixed and matched with player choices.

InZOI’scustomization possibilities might be a little overwhelming for some players- especially those who are new to the life simulation genre-, so having so many options for preset Zoi’s is a great way to make the game more accessible to every kind of player.

3Varied Wardrobe

While we are on the subject of clothing, theInZOIcharacter creator demo also showed off a huge wardrobe full of choices, including those aforementioned preset outfits. For those wanting to create their own style, theInZOIwardrobe includes tops, overwear, bottoms, accessories, shoes, and matching clothing sets. Players can also choose their own underwear, a feature that the Sims only recently implemented via a paid-for collections kit.

Players can also navigate to the Customize Outfit tab when making their Zoi to alter the cuts of their clothing, which is a super cool feature that adds some extra depth to the wardrobe ofInZOI. Players can decide on elements such as necklines, sleeve styles, and hemlines to create a truly unique style and wardrobe.

This is only the demo so, of course, there are sure to be opportunities for more outfits, clothing, shoes, and accessories when the game releases in full. For the time being though,InZOIoffers more than enough wardrobe options for players to have fun with (without paying out extra, as is thecase withThe Sims 4).

2Ultra Realistic

The realistic art style has been shown off in the various trailers and gameplay videos forInZOI, which is where the game differs significantly fromThe Simsseries. This might not be a selling point for some players, as the cartoonish art style is undoubtedly a charming element ofThe Simsseries. However, the demo shows off just how impressive an ultra-realisticlife simulation gamecan be.

As players zoom into their Zoi to edit their appearance, the realism of the graphics becomes all the more impressive, as it can sometimes feel like editing a photo in Photoshop rather than creating a character in a video game. Of course, it all depends on personal preference whether this is a winning feature, but even if players aren’t big fans of the realistic style, it’s difficult not to be wowed by the level of detail that the Krafton devs have put into the graphics and realism of the Zoi’s.

1Traits, Keywords, and Values

As well as creating a Zoi’s appearance and choosing their clothing, players also have the choice topick a particular traitfor them. Although it’s impossible to tell how this trait system will affect gameplay untilInZOIreleases, the information given in the demo is encouraging. There are two traits within each personality type, and the player must pick one of the two for their Zoi. The current traits and personalities are as follows:

Each trait has its own keywords, values, in-depth description, and characteristics, though not all the characteristics are straightforward. For example, the Artistic Trait has a characteristic that makes the Zoi sad frequently, as well as one that makes them avoid conversation with other Zois. However, they will also hold onto sentimental emotions longer.

Again, it’s unclear how this will play out when the game finally releases, but if Krafton can implement this trait and personality system effectively, it could make for incredibly realistic emotions and personalities. The Sims is a highly enjoyable life sim, but the behavior of player Sims can sometimes be somewhat one-dimensional.InZOIhas the potential to change up the life simulation genre by implementing a rich and detailed trait and personality system, such as the one suggested in the demo. Here’s hoping thatKrafton can follow throughon the details included in the character creator demo so that Zoi’s can feel more real with personalities and behaviors tailored to the player’s choices.
