Of the nearly a hundred armor sets inElden Ring, light armor sets are relatively hard to come by. There are plenty of robes and cloth garb that players can find and equip, and most of these are beneficial for one reason or another – usually with light armorElden Ringplayers will get better elemental and status effect resistancesthan heavier armors.
But the lightest armor sets inElden Ringvary quite a lot in terms of usefulness atdifferent parts of the game. The Ascetic’s Set, for example, offers great elemental negation but awful physical defenses for an 8.5 total weight, while the Guilty Set punches way above its pay grade for how little the set weighs.

The Ascetic’s Set is a light armor set that’s difficult to acquire and doesn’t offer too much in the way of protection, thoughits elemental negation satsand status effect resistances are decent for the weight. The main appeal of this set is the look of the Curseblade Mask, which boosts Dexterity when equipped.
To get this set, you must defeat Curseblade enemies in theShadow of the ErdtreeDLC, the ones that throw glaives at the player in places like Belurat.

The Dancer’s Set is both one of the lightest armor sets inElden Ring, and one of the best light armor sets in the game. Though itsphysical defenses leave something to be desired, it has very high Focus and Vitality resistances, as well as great elemental negation stats.
The Dancer’s Set is one of the most beautiful sets in the game, and every piece enhances the power of Dance abilities. Anything with Dance in the name and the Flowing Curved Sword gain 2.5% damage for each piece.

The Ruler’s Set is a light armor setElden Ringplayers can get relatively early in the game, though it doesn’t offer much to its wearer. Its single-digit Physical defenses, middling elemental resistances, and unremarkable status effect resistances don’t give players much of a reason to equip the whole thing.
However, the Ruler’s Mask is what makes this set so useful. When equipped, the Mask will grant +1 Faith, which is a small bonus, but a bonus nonetheless. One point can be all it takes to equip a Faith weapon, or cast a more powerful spell, before leveling up.

The Guilty set is a set that is worn by several random NPCs throughout the Lands Between that has a very low total weight but offers pretty good resistances. Its Physical defenses are all low, as with most lightweight armorElden Ringcontains, but its elemental negation and status effect resistances aren’t too badfor being such a low-weight set.
The Guilty Hood can be found in Leyndell, but the Cloth Garb and Cloth Trousers that make up the other parts of this set can be found in the chest in Murkwater Cave, which spawns Patches.

The Festive Set is the samecloth garb worn by the Celebrantsin (and around) the Windmill Village of the Altus Plateau. Though it doesn’t confer any bonuses to its wearer, the two pieces that make up the Festive Set have very good stats for being nothing but a chest and helm armor set.
You can still equip legs and gloves armor to complement this set, and its very low 5.8 weight makes it easy to keep at a light or medium equip load while doing so.

The Hornsent Set is a DLC-exclusive set that is worn by the Hornsent. As such, you may’t get it until you complete his questline, which takes nearly theentire length of the DLC.
But your reward for this effort this pretty great: one of the lowest-weight armor sets that still offers half-decent defensive stats. Its unique Caterpillar Mask is one of the most iconic looks from the DLC, even if it is a bit gruesome, and the chest piece fits in great with a variety of other looks that won’t break your equip load.

The Juvenile Scholar set is a uniquely detailed set, like many mage robes, that features a three-pointed cap that’s indicative of your studies as a young scholar of Raya Lucaria, a bit like a graduation cap. It can be found aftercompleting the Resurrection Painting puzzle, and offers decent all-around stats for its remarkably low weight.
The cap is one of the lowest-weight items in allElden Ring, and works well to slot into builds that would otherwise go over the weight limit with heavier helms. Equip low-weight gloves and legs armor to keep below the low equip load limit with ease.

The lowest-weight armor set inElden Ringis the Bloodsoaked Set. Nearly two full points below the next-lowest-weight set, this two-piece armor set comes in at a staggeringly low 3.6 weight, which is low enough to beused in any buildalongside the lowest-weight armor and leg pieces to maintain a light equip load.
These two pieces of the Bloodsoaked Set slot into almost any build thanks to their incredibly low weight, and pair with the Official’s Attire to create the same armor Inquisitor Ghiza wore.
