By adding them to the shop’s rotation, then players who didn’t have the chance to get them would finally have the chance to do so, at least as long as they spend the V-Bucks for them. The obvious benefit is that these skins would no longer be locked away forever. This would also free up some really interesting-looking skins that have potentially been unavailable for years. Not to mention, several Battle Pass-exclusive crossovers could finally be made available once more.

Old Fortnite Skins Returning Would Remove Their Rarity
There is a flipside to rereleasing Battle Pass skins, though.Skins from olderFortniteseasonsare seen as a status symbol of sorts. As they stand, they identify players who were not only playing inFortnite’s early days, but were also able to reach the required ranks on the Battle Pass to unlock them. If Battle Pass skins make their way into the store, then they will no longer be able to play this role, because anyone would be able to get them. As a result, they would become just like most of the skins in the game, rotating in and out of the shop.

With everything taken into account, unvaulting the Battle Pass skins feels like a good solution. There are still moreskins that could come toFortnite, but bringing back the vaulted skins of the past feels like a pure positive. As a result, it’s not enough reason to keep old Battle Pass skins blocked off. Unvaulting skins from past Battle Passes would be a big boost for Battle Royale.

It would make the item shop’s rotation a little more crowded, but it would bring back many skins that haven’t been seen for years. WhileFortnite’s latest season’sFalloutcosmeticsare a cool addition, they will disappear at the end of the season just like any other Battle Pass items. However, unvaulting Battle Pass cosmetics after a certain time could prevent that issue. Rather than leaving a lot of great skins in the past,Fortnitecan bring them back and make them a part of its future.
