Nexon has even more good news for players on the horizon as the big version 1.5 update is arriving a bit sooner than anticipated.

On Twitter, Nexon announced that its week 5 update forThe First Descendantis launching a day earlier, on July 31. Reasons for the shift in schedule were not given, but the news seemed to be well received by fans who can now get their hands on the new content and changes sooner than expected. Part of the appeal for many was the reveal of a newUltimate Descendant, this time for Valby, with fans commenting on her new design, while others took the opportunity to request various tweaks and changes they’d like to see added in a future update. Nexon took the opportunity to continue tantalizing fans by revealing a different colorway of Ultimate Valby, showing her off in a red and black variant suit as well.

The First Descendant Version 1.5 New Release Date

With the announcement, fans got their first look at Ultimate Valby, one of the big new additions to the roster of characters withinThe First Descendant. However, alongside Ultimate Valby is a brand-new descendant known as Luna, first announced withinThe First Descendant’s seasonal roadmap. According to Nexon, Luna is more of a support style character, able to buff allies through a musical effect and a synthesizer gun which becomes more powerful when fired in rhythm. She’ll also have an ability similar to Gley, where she can effectively enhance her damage output with an ability known as Noise Surge.

New characters are not the only big changes coming with Version 1.5. As Nexon teased, the next big update will also add a new Intercept Mission for The First Descendant against a boss known as Gluttony. To battle this monster, players can also craft a new ultimate weapon, a hand cannon known as Peace Mediator and the Arche Concretion ultimate module. Finally, Update 1.5 is also making some balance adjustments throughout the game, with Nexon confirming that AoE characters Valby, Blair, and Freyna are seeing buffs to the size of their attacks, while someFirst Descendantultimate weapons, including Enduring Legacy, Secret Garden, and Nazeistra’s Devotion, are seeing improvements to their critical rates. Greg’s Reversed Fate tactical rifle is also seeing an adjustment, so its unique effect procs more often.
