THQ Nordic’s 2024 Digital Showcase Will Have a Handy Games Pre-Show
While technically not part of the main event, THQ Nordic subsidiary Handy Games will host a pre-show immediately before the Digital Showcase. With a planned runtime of 15 minutes, the livestream will ostensibly be long enough for the studio to feature at least a handful of titles. Some of them will possibly beindie games, as the German company operates as an indie publisher in addition to being a developer.
As for the main event, theGothicremake is expected to be the star of the show. THQ Nordic has already confirmed that the much-anticipated RPG will appear at its next Digital Showcase, with an Alkimia Interactive representative later clarifying that the event will premiere its long-awaited gameplay trailer. Back in summer 2023, the Barcelona-based studio said that theGothicremake was aiming for a release in the second half of 2024. Assuming that’s still the plan, THQ Nordic’s 2024 Digital Showcase may finally reveal a concrete release date for the game, which has been in development since 2019.

Other than theGothicremake, the Digital Showcase has already been confirmed to featureDisney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed,Titan Quest 2, andWay of the Hunter. Finally,Way of the Hunterseems all but confirmed to be getting another DLC pack that will be unveiled at the showcase.

Ditto for Slipgate Ironworks' PC RTSTempest Risingand Three Fields Entertainment’sTrackMania-like gameWreckreation, either of which might make an appearance at the upcoming Digital Showcase.
