Summary

The recently addedTimesplitterstrilogy on PS Plus Premium is confirmed to get trophy support sometime in the future, as per developer Deep Silver. This is a welcome development, as the threeTimesplittersgames missed out on dedicated trophy lists when they were released on PS Plus Premium earlier this week.

Originally developed by Free Radical Design and released in the early 2000s, theTimesplitterstrilogy is counted among some of thebest FPS games of the PS2 generation. There was a fourthTimesplittersgame in the works as well, but was unfortunately shelved back in 2008. Ever since then,Timesplittersfans have been clamoring for the series to be shown more care, whether by bringing the classic games forward or with a new entry altogether.

Unsurprisingly, the inclusion of theTimesplitterstrilogy in the August PS Plus Premium lineupwas met with a lot of excitement from fans who waited years to see the FPS series on modern consoles. However, when theTimesplittersgames were added to the PS Plus Premium classics library on August 20, players noticed that there were no trophy lists for all three titles. Courtesy of an inquiry from userxLetsP1ayGod on the PSN Profiles forum, though, developer Deep Silver’s support team has confirmed that trophies are under consideration for theTimesplittersgames on PS Plus Premium and will be “available in a future patch.”

Trophy Support for Timesplitters Games May Not Take Too Long

No release date has been provided for this patch yet, but it likely won’t be too long untilTimesplittersgets trophy support on PS Plus Premium. This situation was also echoed when classic theme park simThrillvillewas added to the service as part of its July 2024 classics lineup, and the game receivedtrophy support on PS Plus Premiumat the end of the month. Before that, four classics received trophy support on PS Plus Premium in June 2024. Keeping this cadence in mind, theTimesplittersgames could very well see trophy lists being added on PS Plus Premium before the end of September 2024.

Depending on the developer, though, it can also take much longer for theTimesplitterstrilogy to receive trophy support on PS Plus Premium. Recently, trophy support was added to the 1997 PS1 classicHerc’s Adventures14 months after it was included in PS Plus Premium, which is a very long amount of time. Regardless, PS Plus Premium members looking forward to playing theTimesplittersgames and racking up some trophies should consider holding off on the prospect until Deep Silver officially adds the same.
