Helldivers 2is a third-person shooter that has a heavy focus on players building the perfect load out so they can survive the various missions given to themby Super Earth to fightoff the likes of the horrid Automatons or swarming Terminids.
While players may feel that it’s important to only bring along the most powerful weaponry, sometimes it’s far more entertaining to take the more underrated or poorly received weaponry to have a far more entertaining time using them. Therefore, out of all the guns or weapon stratagems that can be summoned, these are by far the most fun weapons inHellDivers 2that are incredibly underrated.
6ARC-3 Arc Thrower
Bolts Of Lethal Energy That Can Strike Friends And Foe
Starting off strong, the Arc Thrower weapon stratagem has since seen itself become less used by Helldivers due to the nerfs it has received to its damage. However, this gun does have two modes to it, with one of them being incredibly entertaining to test out in combat.
Using its more dangerous mode, it can see the player almost killing themselves if they charge the Arc Thrower for too long, though it also has the potential of easilykilling the horrid bugsthe players are commonly up against. Even though it can kill another player, there are still funny moments of someone getting too close and accidentally being zapped, which is sure to make a group of friends laugh.
5PLAS-1 Scorcher
An AOE Explosion To Work With
While many players do give the Scorcher praise, compared to many other weapons inHelldivers 2,the Scorcher has seen itself fall out of popularity due to some of the potential dangers of using thisenergy-based plasma rifle. Even the description given on the gun highlights that players should remain outside the proximity of where the bullets fly, as after the initial hit, an AOE explosion occurs.
This can make using this primary weapon quite difficult but also very entertaining, as players watch the plasma explosions and easily deal with hordes of Terminids, especially the smaller ones, as long as they are a distance from the player.
4MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun
Littering Bugs And Bots With Bullets
Another underrated but promising stratagem weapon that players should consider using once again that has become heavily underrated by many Helldivers is the Heavy Machine Gun. While players already have access to one machine gun at the start of theirHelldivers 2recruitment, the Heavy Machine Gun does even more damage to have a better chance at defeating even the enemies with stronger armor on them.
Players are likely to visualize themselves as a soldier in one of many action movies,gunning down the aliensfrom atop a hill, protecting their fellow Helldivers while they use the more commonly chosen stratagem options. The Heavy Machine Gun allows a player to feel like the hero they have always wanted to be while still having the chance to get some kills.
3GP-31 Grenade Pistol
Launch Grenades Further And Faster
While players already haveaccess to grenadeswhile also having a secondary weapon, some may wish to expand on the sorts of throwable weapons they take with them on their missions inHelldivers 2.Thankfully, with the introduction of the Grenade Pistol, players can take explosives with them while also still being able to take other throwable with them too.
The only issue with the Grenade Pistol is that players will only have one weapon that can likely be used when up-close, because using the Grenade Pistol only a few steps away will likely see the death of the player too. Besides these problems, overall, the Grenade Pistol allows the player to launch grenades much further and be the agent of destruction on a mission.
2LAS-98 Laser Cannon
Everything Is Far More Fun With Lasers
As seen, stratagem weapons are just as fun to use as any primary or secondary the player can equip. Besides raining bullets with a machine gun, or zapping enemies together with an Arc Throwr, the Laser Cannon is another underrated option compared to the other available stratagem weaponry, though the visual of firing a giant laser at the enemies ofHelldivers 2will never be beaten.
As long as the player is careful about rapidly firing the Laser Cannon and watches out the way of their fellowHelldivers, the cannon has the potential tocause great destructionto both small and large foes. The weapon also doesn’t require any ammo to be used as long as the player doesn’t overheat it, meaning it can always be relied upon.
1CB-9 Exploding Crossbow
An Explosive And Unique Option
The exploding crossbow is the first and only crossbow so far to be added toHelldivers 2.While impressive in its design, few players have taken this slower weapon in the various missions ofHelldivers 2due to how dangerous it can be to use it in combat. The Exploding Crossbow replacesthe player’s primary weapon, which means their secondary should have a faster firing rate if they wish to survive while using it.
However, even with these preparations in mind, the Exploding Crossbow continues to be an entertaining option for players that are looking for a bit of fun, as shooting a bug or Automaton with a bolt from this weapon will see them and those around them explode.
