Bad news, good news: summer is nearly over, but that also means that the excellent sales that come with Labor Day are nearly here. While these deals don’t tend to be as big of a discount as we see on Prime Days or Black Friday, they are still a great time to pick up tech for incredibly affordable prices.

HyperX Cloud III Wireless Gaming Headset
The Hyper X Cloud III Wireless is more than just an iterative improvement over its predecessors. While this isn’t the most significant sale on the Cloud III wireless, it is still an excellent price for a fantastic gaming headset.

Bose TV Speaker Soundbar
This Bose TV Speaker soundbar is designed to be paired with a TV and has two angled full-range drivers that aim to deliver a more realistic spatial audio experience. It is specifically meant for TV shows and movies as it clarifies speech. The way it improves the clarity of speech is by elevating vocals and pronunciation. For just $199 this soundbar is great to upgrade your home theater setup without breaking the bank.
Soundbars have become a nice and easy way to upgrade any home audio setup. However, not all of them offer the best performance, but the Bose TV Speaker Soundbar offers incredible sound performance despite its unassuming name. This soundbar is relatively compact, so despite the size of your setup, you should be able to fit it on the TV stand or console with ease. In this compact form factor, you will get great sound that makes dialogue clearer, while still providing a wide sound stage to immerse yourself in whatever content is playing through it. Without a sub, you won’t get the same earth-shattering bass that some setups offer, but for many people, a powerful sub is just too much for their audio setup.
The Hyper X Cloud III wireless headset offers a considerable jump-up in performance compared to its predecessors, which is not always the case for gaming headsets. The long-awaited Sonos Ace has made quite a presence since its release, with performance stacking up against the long-reigning kind, the Apple AirPods Max. While it is clearly still a first-generation product in some ways, in others ways, these headphones are hard to contend with.
Lastly, we don’t really expect the Sonos Ace to fall below this price point during the Labor Day deals, but for such a new product, this is can’t pass up price.
Corsair HS80 RGB Elite Wireless Gaming Headset
None of these deals right now are revolutionary, but for early Labor Day deals, these are pretty promising for what’s to come in the next couple of weeks. The HyperX Cloud III and Logitech G Pro X Wireless headset are the two best deals to check out if you want a premium headset for a not-so-premium price.
Even if you want a more budget-friendly option, the Razer Kaira Pro offers excellent performance for Xbox gamers, and it is now under $100. This headset is not the fanciest or has the most remarkable features like ANC on the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro, but it does punch way above its weight class when it comes to sound quality and microphone quality.
JBL Tune Buds Earbuds
Daily driver headphones make a world of difference whether you are just sitting back listening to music, playing games, or commuting. That being said, they are typically a bit more expensive for the premium level quality than most gaming headsets, but thankfully, these early Labor Day deals have made some of them quite affordable for the performance you can get out of them.
While it’s not the biggest deal, the most exciting deal to come out so far is the Sonos Ace, with its first real deal since releasing earlier this spring. Of course, there are also a couple of the usual sights during these deals, like the Apple AirPods Pro and Sony WH-1000XM5.
Rode PodMic
Whether you are planning on streaming, creating content, or just upgrading your voice quality for Discord calls, a standalone microphone is a great option. If you want something plug-and-play, the SteelSeries Alias and the HyperX Quadcast are great options. All you need is an available USB port to get going. The SteelSeries software is a bit more approachable regardless of your skill level compared to HyperX’s offering, but both are great ways to quickly up your audio game.
If you want a mic that can grow with your needs, choosing something with an XLR input will offer a ton of versatility and an easy upgrade path. The SteelSeries Alias Pro offers this, plus a ton more, with an included preamp that allows you to send the audio signal to multiple computers at once. Of course, this makes the price a bit higher than other options like the Rode PodMic, but thanks to these early Labor Day deals, the price has come down on both of them quite a bit.
Sony SRS-XB100
These early Labor Day deals don’t give us a ton of variety for home audio, but we expect to see quite a few more offerings as Labor Day approaches.
TheRazer Nommo V2 Prois one of the best ways gamers can set up directional sound without using headphones or a gaming headset. While the two speakers look fairly normal compared to most other desktop speaker options, they deliver a much bigger punch, especially when the sub kicks out heavy bass. Because the speakers sit farther away from your ears, the Nommo provides a much wider sound stage than most headphones.
While Bluetooth speakers don’t always offer the best sound quality, theSony SRS-XB100does a fantastic job for its compact size. People must be a bit closer to the speaker for the best results. This speaker won’t deliver earth-shattering bass like other larger Bluetooth speakers, but it does produce surprisingly powerful bass for its size, and thanks to the digital signaling processing, there is minimal distortion. However, on some surfaces, the speaker can shake itself a bit, creating distortion-like sounds, but this can easily be fixed by hanging it up with its included strap.
