An interesting detail surfaced during Gamescom when the content creator AnnacakeLIVE interviewed designer Aislyn Hall and game director Brent Gibson, that around 85% of allDiablo 4gamers played solo. According to the developers, Blizzard expects the number of people engaging in multiplayer to grow steadily over time, especially as younger audiences start to explore the game via Game Pass, as they are more used to playing with friends. By introducing the new Party Finder feature, Blizzard hopes to give gamers a high-quality way of finding other people to play with, create parties, and participate in group activities.

The Party Finder is just one of manyfeatures coming toDiablo 4, though. Blizzard has recently revealed new fan-requested features, including customizable waypoints for Town Portals, and an armory system that will allow gamers to change builds, working similarly toDiablo 3’s loadout system. These two improvements were often asked for by gamers, and are likely to be met with a positive reception.

WhileDiablo 4’s main highlight at Gamescom is undeniably theVessel of Hatredexpansion,Blizzard is also teasingDiablo 4’s Season 6, which will be released on the same day as the DLC. While more information will be revealed duringDiablo 4’s campfire chat on August 29, it’s already known that the next season will bring a yet undisclosed seasonal mechanic that will replace the current Infernal Hordes.

Diablo 4’s Season 5 was released on August 6, and it just received its first hotfix.Diablo 4’s Hotfix 1.5.1mostly fixed performance and stability problems in the game, and fixed some issues where enemies were dealing much more damage than intended. According to the official patch notes, three enemies were nerfed by the hotfix: the Desecrator in the Infernal Hordes, the Beast in the Ice and its summoned monsters, and Hellborne.
