Visions of Manais a brand-newmainline game in the Mana series, inviting players to a new adventure in the world of the Mana Tree after nearly two decades of wait. Naturally, such a long time between releases means that even most veterans have forgotten what certain in-game terms used to mean like lucra, dudbears, and alms.

Grizzly Syrup is a brand new item introduced for the very first time inVisions of Mana. These appear as large egg-shaped collectibles right from the start of the game, but their purpose seems unclear. After giving one to the Dudbear in the first area, players are left wondering what more they can do with this item that they’re seeing everywhere.

How to Use Grizzly Syrup

Grizzly Syrup is a type of currency that can be used at the Grizzly Exchange shopsthat are run by Dudbear in various towns and settlements across the world. Each major hub in the game—other than the starting town—that has shops like the armorer and the weaponsmith will also have the Grizzly Exchange nearby, highlighted by a purple Dudbear icon. Talk to the Dudbear and select‘Redeem Grizzly Syrup’to see the list of items available for exchange.

The very first Grizzly Exchange is located in Longren, the Vale of Wind, and only unlocks after Careena is recruited to the party.

Grizzly Exchange shops sell powerful items for healing, mana recovery, ally revival, increased EXP gain from winning battles, increased Lucre (money) gain from defeating enemies, and permanent stat increases.

Items in the Grizzly Exchange are limited and are only restocked when players move to the next Chapter. The per-item limit is indicated by the number between the price and the item name. The inventory only expands as the main story ofVisions of Manaprogresses, unlocking new items for purchase.

Where to Find Grizzly Syrup

Grizzly Syrup is a fairly common resource found in theworld during regular exploration. All players need to do to collect these items is walk through them. To keep things interesting, the game makes it so that a lot of Grizzly Syrup locations are in hard-to-reach places that require a little bit of puzzle-solving and double-jumping. Finding Grizzly Syrup for the exchange,Meridians for fast travel and saving, and pots for health, mana, and CS recovery are all there to incentivize players to explore every inch of the map.

Does Grizzly Syrup Respawn?

No, it does not.Once collected, Grizzly Syrup will not reappear in the same location again. The amount of Grizzly Syrup players can obtain is limited, but considering the vastness of the semi open-world, there is more than enough of it to get all of the important things needed for the journey.

Unlike chests,Grizzly Syrup locations are not marked on the map, and the only way to find more of them is through regular exploration.
