World of Warcraft Classicis full of interesting things that keep players coming back, even when it is a remake of an extremely popular game. However, with the latest seasonal event, Season of Discovery, players are able to collect some new items and currencies that can tremendously help players as they traverse Phase 4 of the season and work towardmaxing their character’s level out at level 60.
One type of item that players may find themselves with a lot of is the Dark Iron Residue item, which can have 100 of these in a stack, making it an item you can have a lot of. While the item is super useful in the game, the game doesn’t really give players very good instructions on where or how to use them. Here’s a guide to help you figure out where to use the item and how it works in the game.
What Is Dark Iron Residue In WoW SoD?
Dark Iron Residue is an item dropped by many different enemieswithin the Blackrock Depths dungeon, which has been added in Phase 4 of the Season of Discovery. Players can carry up to 100 of these in one stack and can collect them from most enemies within Blackrock Depths, including the bosses. Additionally, players who find the CHest of the Seven within Blackrock Depths also have a chance of obtaining the item from it. While there isn’t a large chance of obtaining it, since so many enemies drop it, there is a good chance of finding a decent amount during a run of the dungeon.
How To Use Dark Iron Residue In WoW SoD
The Dark Iron Residue is actually an item that can be exchanged for reputation with the Thorium Brotherhood, a group that was notoriously hard to build a reputation with during vanillaWoW.When combining these items with theBlackrock Eruption Event, it is much easier to obtain a higher reputation with the group. To trade them in for reputation, players must go to Master Smith Burninate in Thorium Point and trade him 4 Dark Iron Residue for 15 points with the faction.
to trade the Dark Iron Residue into Master Smith Burninate, players must first complete all the quests in the zone, making this a difficult way to obtain reputation. Trading Fiery Cores or Lava Cores to Lokhtos Darkbargainer (where players trade in their Firelands Ember) is a faster way to gain reputation.
