Super Mario Party Jamboree Has More Playable Characters Than Ever Before

Super Mario Party Jamboreeisn’t skimping out when it comes to game boards either. One of the biggest criticisms ofthe last fewMario Partyentrieshas been their lack of new boards, withSuper Mario Partyhaving just four, andMario Party Superstarsonly featuring remakes of previous entries' boards.Super Mario Party Jamboreeoffers an ideal compromise, delivering five all-new game boards, and two remakes, bringing the game’s total number of boards up to seven:

All five ofSuper Mario Party Jamboree’s new game boardslook suitably bright and colorful, with plenty of distinct gimmicks to set them apart from those that have come before. Goomba Lagoon, for instance, features a tide mechanic that sees certain spaces get blocked by the rising waves, while Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party allows players to hop on the back of the eponymous creature to access new pathways.Super Mario Party Jamboree’s two returning boards look like great remakes as well, withMario Party 1’s Mario’s Rainbow Castle board now featuring 3D textures and layering effects.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Will Feature More Minigames Than Any Previous Entry

The final – and maybe the largest – cherry on top ofSuper Mario Party Jamboree’s cake is its 110 minigames. Just like its playable characters, this is the highest number of minigames that have ever appeared in aMario Partytitle at launch. These 110 minigames will be split up into the usual categories, such as Free-for-all, 2v2, 1v3, and Team.Motion-controlled minigameswill also be making a return inJamboree, though players will have the option to disable them if they wish.
