The Humans vs. The Demons

The Infinity Castle Arc Holds The Best Fights In The Series

Just as the entire Demon Slayer Corps is dropped into the Infinity Castle, members are spread across it at random, where many groups are left to deal with the threat of the demons on their own. However, the main characters of the series arepitted against the remaining Upper Moonsin many battles that promise to be some of the greatest fights that will ever be shown in all modern anime.

One of these battles is when Shinobu, Kanao, and Inosuke eventually find their way to the room of Upper Moon 2, Doma. This is an incredibly intense and grueling fightagainst an apathetic demon who surprisingly has connections to each of these characters, as he was the one who killed Shinobu and Kanao’s older sister, Kanae, as well as Inosuke’s mother. The spectacle of this battle is beautiful to witness, as the visually stunning Breathing Styles of the Slayers go up against Doma’s beautiful but deadly Ice Manipulation abilities.

Demon Slayer Tanjiro Kamado Yoriichi Tsugikuni Sun Breathing

Don’t cry even if you have regrets! No matter how pathetic or humiliated you feel, you still have to go on living!

Moreover, Tanjiro and Giyu find themselves fighting against Akaza, the Upper Moon 3 who had killed Rengoku during the Mugen Train arc. This is a brilliant fight to witness, as it shows the strengths of the 2 Slayers against theunmatched fighting prowess of Akaza. The battle ends in a very unexpected way after the series shows one of themost heartbreaking and emotional backstoriesin all of modern anime.

Demon Slayer Akaza

However, no other Upper Moon Demon justifies their ranking within the hierarchy quite like Upper Moon 1, Kokushibo, as he takes on thestrongest Hashira in the entire Demon Slayer Corpsat once. The visuals of this battle are perhaps the most stunning of them all, as it sees theinterplay of various Breathing Stylesas well as the vicious strength of perhaps the second-strongest swordsman of all time. Despite it being the most action-packed and visually impressive fight of them all, it still carries a ton of emotional weight and surprises.

Incredible Animation And Spectacle

Infinity Castle Is The Most Visually Stunning Arc

More than any of theDemon Slayerseasons before it, the Infinity Castle arc holds the potential to showcase the limits of Ufotable’s beautiful animation! This is because the fights in this arc are some of the most jaw-dropping to behold, with the Breathing Styles of the Slayersand the Blood Demon Arts of the demons being dialed up to 11 and used in ways that fans of the series have never seen before.

Those who regretted their own actions, I would never trample over them. Because demons were once human too. Just like me, they were human too.

Demon Slayer

These abilities are different from the ones that the series has shown before due to the level of fighting that this arc holds. From Kokushibo’s swordsmanship to Akaza’s unparalleled hand-to-hand combat style, the demons in the Infinity Castle are far stronger than even thetoughest demons of the past seasons, which leads to the Slayers themselves awakening the strongest techniques of their respective Breathing Styles to compensate for this, making for some of the best fights in recent memory.

Beautiful Character Moments

Heroes And Villains Shine In This Arc

Many detractors of the series say that the story ofDemon Slayeritself isn’t very good and that it is carried by beautiful animation. However, manycharacter moments in the Infinity Castle arcare surely an answer to such naysayers, as both heroes and villains get moments that put their entire character arcs into perspective and make them far more relatable than they may have seemed at first.

An example of such an instance is Akaza. When fans were first introduced to him, he fought Rengoku right after the Mugen Train incident and killed him, drawing the ire of many that has stayed since then. However,Akaza’s fight against Giyu and Tanjiro ends in a very unexpected way, with a backstory that perfectly shows how this flawed character ended up the way that he did. Though there is no justification for his actions, the Infinity Castle arc shows Akaza as more human than a demon, making him the favorite character for many fans of the series.

Hakuji, that’s enough.

This isn’t only true for him. Many heroes who may have appeared to be very unlikeable in their first appearances have their personalities expanded upon to see why they ended up as they did. Evenother demons who have been murderous monstersfor much of their lives are humanized in many ways that show how a single thing can lead someone down the wrong path in life.

The emotional weight of all these moments is made even greater when fans remember that the Infinity Castle arc is the final one in a series that millions have fallen in love with, so this marks the last time that they will ever get to see these characters. Although this is a fairly lengthy arc, it serves as the perfect way to say goodbye to one of the best series in all of modern anime.
