Redditor @FloatingPencil said “Max will be around via Vecna” and Redditor @RE_98 thinks thatMax will stay in a coma for some ofStranger Thingsseason 5. This would make sense as it wouldn’t feel realistic for the character to be completely fine right away, and it would also create some tension as viewers will keep waiting for her to be alright.
Redditor @RainbowPenguin1000 wrote that while this would be a dull storyline, they thinkEleven will save Max. Sincefans have guessed whichStranger Thingscharacters will die,many think Max will live, but her survival will be a big and important storyline. It definitely seems like, while the other characters are working hard to stop Vecna from bringing total chaos to Hawkins, Eleven will also work on saving Max once again. The fan wrote:

Since it’s hard to please everyone with a series finale, there are many questions surrounding whethertheStranger Thingsseason 5 finale will be disappointing. If Max dies, that would make it hard to enjoy the final episode and to feel that the last season properly wrapped up the solid and memorable character arcs from the entire show.Hopefully, Max will recover and heal, andStranger Thingsseason 5 will treat the next stage of her life realistically. Max will have to find a healthy way to deal with her grief and loss, and she will hopefully come back stronger. Since Sadie Sink is so talented, she will be able to play this part of Max’s character arc perfectly, and she will show all of Max’s pain and growth on her face.
What Was Max’s Storyline In Stranger Things Seasons 2, 3 And 4?
Max Mayfield is introduced in season 2, episode 1, “Chapter One: MADMAX.“While she has a troubled family relationship, Max is quickly integrated into The Party. Throughout season 2, fans learn more about Max and her mean-spirited brother Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery).Max also has a sweet relationship with Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), which makesLucas and Max’s breakup later oneven more upsetting.
In season 3,Max and Eleven bondas the characters have fun at the Starcourt Mall, and this is when Max proves herself to be a loyal and kind member of the friend group. The friendship between the two characters is integral to Max’s season 4 storyline as it sets up the fact that Eleven will have to save Max’s life. In season 4, Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) targets Max and she almost dies, which is terrifying to watch. Vecna knows that Max feels terrible about Billy’s death and uses her fear and anxiety against her.
